Who is talking about 120 fps? You play fighting games, this is a fighting game forum, it’s 60 fps. And your TV has 3 frames of lag.
Your TV is a 2013 model, doesn’t matter when you bought it, if you bought it last week it doesn’t make it a 2016 model. Stop coming back to this thread and keep me on ignore, why are you cheating the game. B)
This thread is saltier than a liberal who just saw Donald Trumps latest poll numbers.
3 frames of lag would be 50ms of lag. Haha. Keep dreaming kid. Even my shitty Bravias are 30ms or better, and the Samsung is quicker. So no. 3 frames of lag over a control CRT would be instantly noticeable to anyone with an IQ over 90.
Only one salty is you, but believe what you want your 44ms TV is really 17ms, happy now? It’s not from 2013 and reviewed in 2013 Cnet lies. Maybe your IQ is 89 that’s why you think 3 frames with Gamemode off is lagless. =)
Frame time (in ms) has nothing to do with input lag on a display.
That 10ms is a delay from what is sent out the PC or console to the TV or Monitor.
The 10ms is from when you press the button till you see the effects of that button press on the screen.
Yes 17ms is in displaylag dot com scale is in the Excellent range, but you got the 3 grand to spare to buy Smashbro here a new display?
You make fun and say the smaller display screens are kids stuff, yet its the tournament standard for displays. Those Pro players stick to the smaller screens for a reason.
You didn’t know Displaylag.com existed until I told you about it, 3 times over. I know you didn’t actually read the site, you are just cherry picking results for their scores instead of going for your actual HDTV.
You said it your self you have a 1080p 55" Samsung TV with a LED screen, the 17ms score belongs to a 65" brand-new Samsung 4K 3D HDTV with Smart-TV features.
I highly doubt you have a brand new 3 grand TV. If you did you not be so heart broken on spending more than $7 for a cheap-ass VGA to HDMI cord.
Oh yeah you also have your super laggy Bravia TV (Mr I can’t find the model number in their data base so I cherry pick the results that suits my ego instead).
And I am supposed to be the Salty clown? Brah, you know I am laughing at you right now how stupid you been for the last couple of days.
@Tensho That dood, he is cherry picking results to try to win an argument against me and you.
I didn’t see he had the 2013 model, I might of glanced over the inane crazy crap this guy is making up.
The only 2013 Samsung 55" 1080p LED HDTV I can find on Display lag data base is 42ms (the “OKAY” orange category for Displaylag dot com)
And this started off with him asking if the Ben Q monitor is good, I said it one of the better monitors ever, now he trying to tell people to Drop 3 Grand on a 65".
So now it’s 44ms? According to who? Was my in CNETS review?
CNETS numbers conflict with the above source, which can only mean one thing: they ain’t doing it right.
With HDL, which is defaulted on in game mode, 50ms sounds about right. It’s noticeable and horrible lag, just not as horrible and noticeable as game mode off, HDMI, but both are unacceptably horrible to me and that’s 3 frames of lag or more.
It’s definitely not 17. I can notice it’s more than the CRT which is. But not by a frame. 19 sounds too low, I’d say 21, 24 at most, but certainly not 33 or more. No way.
All that said I probably will pick up a BenQ just because I don’t even want fractions of a second lag for my games. Or sell the one I have and pick up an even bigger 4K, 17ms set from the list above. Or both.
I do feel better now thanks so please go back to your troll hole.
And while you’re there go ahead to the Pinball Arcade.com leaderboards and look up a user called NeonZwei. I haven’t played in 2 years but I still have 5 top ten in the world scores. This was before PS4 suspend play feature which allows you to go a lot higher. Pinball requires reactions faster than fighters at times, so go ahead and contemplate how someone on supposedly laggy sets got those high of scores? Or how about my top 10 3S listing on the original Xbox live?
The above source of none of the TV’s on displaylag.com are yours? You’re just picking what you think is close to yours on the list because they seem low. Keep trolling though I don’t mind it. What’s pinball or your wifi 3S online games have to do with displays and input lag? Lol…
Do you forget what you type an hour later, is that an 89 IQ thing? B)
Also your 2015 is from 2010.
Pinball has everything to do with it. It’s as fast or faster than fighting game or STG reaction times.
Ok? So I get world class scores and dominate online with laggy displays and wifi. Cool sounds like I’m some kind of God.
I’ll be going to the best arcade in the world tomorrow, Victory Pointe, and while there I will play 3S and Ultra on PS3, PS4, and 360, all on BenQ because my boy knows his shit and does it proper, as well as 3S on a real CPS3 and Sega VS City. I will have all the information from that that I need to make a judgment on my home displays: PS3 version of Ultra 1.3 frames more lag than 360, to reset my feel for what that’s like, arcade 3S just in case my home CRT wasn’t good enough.
I understand people like you don’t want to take my word for it. My name used to have some clout here, but not posting for years and years it’s a new crowd and even if I won Evo look at Jwong or Viscants haters. SRK is a haters haven and really it’s always been. But anyway without scientific proof without my displays in that list I can’t “prove” this to you, it just rests on my word. Well again I could say that when I fart lepricons come out and start singing songs to me, so to some extent sure I understand not taking my word for it. That’s fine. Regardless I will post my results whatever they may be, and those results will rest on my name and reputation whatever that is still worth these days.
It’s been a while since I’ve played Ultra or messed around on BenQ we’ll see what’s up tomorrow good night.
Yeah I wouldn’t be so sure… we call people that play fighting games while using wifi something else… lol.
Wonder why you thought your TV was lagless and you’re sensitive to lag: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-thxtiZ-3U
Pinball doesn’t need as fast reflexes compared to a high level fighting game.
You forgot to wish me a nice life.
I am not autistic or anything, and I’m not on ADD medicine, but I totally can tell the difference between 1 or 2 frames. I feel bad for these people who can’t explain it in relatable terms to those who need facts and numbers and “proof.” I quote proof because not all methods/sources are definite.
If he says it’s the same, it’s the same. Leave him alone and believe what you want to believe. Maybe he got a better rated monitor, or like he said, maybe they didn’t use the correct testing method/settings. Either way, if it works for him then let it be.
Also, the quality of the discussion totally declined when you guys a started throwing memes around. Lol
But do you need the 4K, 3D and Smart TV functions on top of everything else?
Sadly yes. I doubt most people are going to go and read it. I did read that report, its a interesting read. It puts alot into perspective, well the parts of the report I understood without doing more research to know what the guy is talking about.
Sony w705b is probably the best I’ve seen and it’s still loaded with wifi/ethernet/apps junk and comes in 32"/42"/50" and has 14ms input lag with the Leo Bodnar and 6ms with the camera test.
So a PC Monitor with a TV tunner? Most PC Monitors on the market now are just a stripped down barebones HDTV without the TV Tunner and some of the analog video inputs.
Although they don’t have the same performance, some of the off-brand HDTVs are almost what you are looking for.
True, if you do your homework you can find a great middle ground between a cheap off-brand display, reliability and build quality. Brand name alone does not guarantee quality.
My cheap-ass Dynex TV (Dynex DX-L26-10A, Rev A) did outlasted my Asus PC monitor. Too bad I can’t find lag results for my particular display.
Not so much the TV tuner but the size and the ability to be hung on a wall. @FreedomGundam knows what I’m after.
Big ass TV, lotta inputs, low lag, good picture. AFFORDABLE!!!
Hell, you don’t even need a “TV” for TV anymore, all the cable boxes these days have HDMI/Component and that’s if you really care about traditional TV but that’s a side point.
