Beginner Stick

It’s better to start off with quality parts than having to replace a crappy stick ^^

Maybe?

Although the parts are probably good, note that they are no-name brand in the non-TE stick. So it’s not “sanwa/seimitsu quality” parts. But as I understand, even the non-TE will be very easy to mod. So you could probably hot it up in the future if needed.
(btw TE = http://www.webhallen.com/prod.php?id=93958 it has real high quality parts, but as you can see it’s a bit more expensive as well… o_O)

I am planning to get one myself(non-TE) and put my sanwa parts in, since it’s easier for me than building a box and soldering and all that.

Yes. Get that.

Maybe just outside of what you are looking to spend but, it comes standard with Sanwa stick and heavier, wider base(if you like that)…

just another option for you.

edit: never mind, didn’t realize you are in Sweden… not sure how much these run there…

We pretty much only have low tier horis like FS3 for PS3/360 and the Wii one, and soon the SF4 ones, to buy here. As far as I know.

Everything else would have to be imported.

Same in the UK. Us euros got a bum deal a lot of the time. sob.

But if i buy the PS3 SFIV stick, would it work in my computer without any drivers?
And i have Ikaruga to my Gamecube so if i want to play that on my Wii, can i just plug it in to my Wii’s USB port, and it’ll work?

^ Since its a PS3 PCB, I wouldn’t think the stick would work on a Wii. And, you probably need to install some SixAxis driver to get the stick to work on the PC (I’ve read it somewhere on the forums). It hasn’t been confirmed yet though.

Anyone knows any good sticks that works for the PC and Wii and that’s kinda cheap?

You should be able to use the Wii Hori stick. You would need to have a bluetooth adapter and download some drivers to use it though. Seeing as how you didn’t know what drivers were until yesterday I doubt you’ll be able to figure out how to do this.

It seems that you want to get some great controls at a cheap price. Unfortunately the only way to get something within your price range is to do some footwork yourself. Since it appears you don’t have the capacity needed for this I suggest you either

A) Abandon your search for a magical controller that will automatically work on your Wii, PC and XBOX 360

B) Read tutorials and learn how to build your own arcade sticks and how to pad hack and make dual PCB arcade sticks.

C) Pay someone in the country you’re in to make you a custom arcade stick or go over and configure your peripherals.

Since you want info spoon fed to you and you give the impression you can’t pay for someone’s services I think you’ll be going with option A.

There isn’t any PC and Wii compatible Arcade Sticks as far as I know.

There is Wii Sticks, but they only work on the Wii, you’d need to purchase a separate adapter for it to work on a PC.

And why would one buy a stick for the Wii with it’s limited selection of fighting games, most of them being ports readily available on other systems, the only two original fighters on the Wii are Tatsunoko VS Capcom and the other is not really a traditional fighting game (Smash Brawl)

Considering Arcade Sticks are mostly used for Fighting Games which the Wii is very limited with (unless you are one of the few that uses an Arcade Stick for that Arcade at Home feel for games such as Pac-Man and other Arcade Classics which also has a limited selection.)

I guess i’ll just buy the SFIV stick and download some drivers so that i’m able to play others games on my PC with it.

You don’t need drivers just to play other games on the stick, It’s just software that makes the controller work properly on your computer.

It’s not at all complicated, if you have Windows XP or even Vista for that matter, the process is mostly automated. Since you would simply plug the controller into one of your USB ports, your computer detects that new hardware (the controller) has been installed, and then you are prompted to do a small update (usually just your PC doing a search online and downloading the software) for the Stick to work on your computer.

It’s very very simple to do.

I’m so happy.

i wonder if i can find a dual PCB stick like a WIi/ps2 one…
been lookin around and no luck

Something like that is a custom job. You would need to find someone to wire it for you or do it yourself.

Get a PS2 stick and a GC adapter. Otherwise it’s going to be custom like stated above and will be considerably more expensive.

Or maybe! :open_mouth:
I’ll buy a Hori FS3 'cuse you can make it work since that guy(sorry doesn’t know your name :P)put out that driver.

UPCB, dude. IT’Z DA FUTURE!
