Just went a little further and linked a 5ft Inferno. Has any man done this before or am I the first Skrull? ^^

I’d say you’re the first. I never thought of hitting them with the edge of the inferno.
I did it for like 30 minutes. Another skrull player was using it and I went to go see why this works. It seems to have a timing to it in order to make it work, but it’s not too hard to do it. Might seem inconsistent on bigger characters.
Hey Nastyy I’ve been watching your tournament vids and your skrull literally scares people. I’ve been using skrull since vanilla too and still use him in umvc3 but i’ve never played in any tournaments. I attached a video of all of my super skrull resets i normally use and possibly a infinite. I wanted to see if you review the vid to confirm what would actually be practical and what wouldn’t. I trust your advice because youve battled the best of em, thx in advance
and sorry for the poor execution in the vid i’ve gotten rusty. guess i’ve been playing too much Black Ops 2
**I’ve just made a video showing Skrull glitch that resets groundbounce: **you can do it using Vajra or Sentinel Drones. Furthermore, there’s another interesting stuff at the end of the video: maybe these possible glitches involve Meteor Smash super move.
C ya.

they need to be laying flat when meteor smash hits for the groundbounce to reset.
^What he said
If you hit them when their legs are up then it’ll make them flip out.
I figured I would go around and post this on character forums so folks can check it out:
How do you guys handle Skrull’s low priority? It seems kind of odd how his normals are low priority even though he’s a rushdown character. It makes it very difficult to play skrull point vs. any other rushdown character since they just smack him straight out of all of his normals.
Does anyone have any reliable guard breaks with Skrull on incoming? Mostly solo Skrull but if you have something with assist’s it’s fine too. I know about the diagonal stretch limb into AA Elastic Slam. I was wondering if there is something more reliable, like Spencer’s delayed j.H into AA command grab. I know Skrull’s air normals don’t really lend themselves to something like this cause I don’ t think there is enough hitstun on his j.M and his j.H hits too low that you would have to do it earlier otherwise you could get scooped. I’m thinking a delayed j.S might be the ticket into a normal jump grab or an AA Elastic Slam depending on how far the push block is and how high up you hit them on incoming. I guess a meaty st.H would work too but they would have to know if it was crossing up and it’s infinitely better for them to just block and punish once they land.

theoretical skrull is top3 imo. in-practice skrull is upper-mid or just slightly above.
theoretical as in if anyone can legitamitely perform his tenderizer infinite, considering any hit can lead to it. combined with the nature of his tools, his combos, and his damage output, skrull is one SILLY ASS character (if pushed to his limits).
also, i’ve particularly taken a liking to skrull/chris over the last year.
on another note, if skrull were gonna receive some improvements, i’d like to see…
-a more deliberate tool from invisible woman (re: invisibility, j/k). maybe some type of forcefield, like a MODOK barrier that encircles him for a period of time. perhaps a charge input like buster
-another air mobility option, but not flight or 8-way airdash. maybe 2, 3, or 4-way. if not that, then maybe aerial elastic slams
-meteor smash floating the opponent slightly higher upon successful hit, possibly floating even higher on an air hit like thor’s mighty smash (good stuff HIN, but i thought everyone knew about that)
-death penalty given new properties (less recovery, higher float, hard knockdown, w/e) to allow easier midscreen post-lvl3 followups
-tenderizer assist and special not contributing to hsd until after the last hit
-maybe d/f+C causing soft knockdown but is affected by hsd, like meteor smash
That’s his blocking animation.
I may be wrong on this so correct me if so, but I recall a little while back when the instant, zero frame, THC with bionic arm was found and I feel I recall that Skrull’s torch had the same property. Is this so? Also in regards to a THC with Torch and Skrull in the 2nd spot, are there any characters that can make a good extension from that super that any of you are aware of?
If I screw up the relaunch on Task’s BnB and send them midscreen instead of keeping them in the corner then I can go diagonal arrow air hyper into skrull torch and carry them all the way to the other corner. I’ve never really labbed up Skrull Torch but I don’t think you can get much damage off it without moving forward. I know that sounds weird but let me explain it a different way. Most of his combos take the opponent to the corner so you wouldn’t really get much damage off Skrull Torch cause you has no more space to move forward. To my knowledge you can’t use Skrull Torch like MODOK’s Hyper Battering Ram and zig zag to not only keep the opponent low but to also DHC easier.
The only thing I can think of is Taskmaster arrows cause they can reach pretty much any angle Skrull would leave the opponent in and Spell of Vishanti. If you are willing to leave some damage on the table (obviously you are if you aren’t using Inferno) in order to effectively DHC out, if you are close enough to the corner to dash under after a Stone Smite wall bounce then instead of a relaunch you can go right into Skrull Torch and basically take them out of the corner. Ideally, you could keep them sort of low to make the DHC easier and I imagine that would open up some potential DHC possibilities. Off top I think Plasma Storm, Gamma Crush, or even Sphere Flame could work. The key is keeping them low though so they don’t have time to tech out since Skrull Torch doesn’t have the same knockdown properties that Inferno does. But I’m pretty sure the opponent will keep the momentum from Skrull Torch so taking them to the corner with it is probably the best bet. I’ll check it out though, thinking about it has gotten me intrigued now myself.
why cant I do two infernos in a row
