Yup. I have a unique playstyle.

So it’s been a while since I’ve had anything worth posting, but i finally found something new. I was looking to make use of tenderizer other than tenderizer L OTG.

After a hard knockdown, I charge cr.H while calling Akuma tatsu, jump cancel the cr.H into tenderizer M in the air, into inferno. Hooray.

Anyway, do any of you guys make regular use of tenderizer other than tenderizer L into ground bounce or level 3? Usually when someone does tenderizer it’s an accident, ala swiss cheese.

i hardly ever use it, which really makes me wonder why they gave it to skrull in the first place. if it were special cancellable, then it’d be a pretty good move, but right now all it does is heavily scale your hit stun and damage, while leaving you easily punishable if you whiff or call it by mistake. plus, it makes wavedashing using buttons a pain. and it’s not like skrull’s normals had great range and extremely fast startup either (unlike wolvie). it’s just a really bad move overall, imo. too many risks with such limited reward. even the assist version of it (while useful in some setups) isn’t all that great either. i really do wish that capcom improves this move somehow, through a patch or dlc or whatever. maybe even just by letting us stop skrull from tenderizing if we stop mashing, or by letting us keep tenderizing until the opponent pops out if we do keep mashing (ala swiss cheese)

that said, the only time i really do throw it out is when i’m fighting a zipline-happy spencer, with a non-beam assist (like a Spencer-Wolvie team). Tenderizer H outprioritizes the both of them and then you can just cancel into inferno happy birthday.

Eww Tenderizer… no thanks. I like my combos unscaled.

That being said, I use Tenderizer during an exchange combo with air M Tenderizer.

I haven’t but I have an idea on how Skrull’s would work and its gonna be impractical.

Oh I forgot to talk about it. It seems hard to do it first, but I think the string should be easy. I still haven’t done it completely yet.

In case anyone wants to do it, do up exchange, Charge S for Stone Dunk then right before you hit the floor hit Air H, then do a loop.

Good shit nasty. I won’t lie, in the back of my mind i questioned your skrull, thinking you could only play him with XF3. But you showed me and pr rog by taking out his wolvie and wesker with those grabs. gotta love skrull and his grabs. even his normal grab is good. congratulations on doing so well. who did you end up losing to anyway?

But I can… only play him… with xfactor.

I rarely used Skrull at the tournament. Everyone snapped him in and he basically became my battery.

Martin, do you ever practice with skrull on point? Given that most everyone tries to snap him in it could be some sort of contingency plan. I’ve always had the idea in the back of mind to create a skrull team with him on anchor but would secretly work well in the reverse order just in case of snaps.

I do but not with my team. My team does not help Skrull so he’s on his own if he’s snapped.

I think that Skrull can do the Double Inferno off of a meteor smash with good timing. You have to cancel the inferno in the air and follow the normal procedure. I have not been able to do it successfully once, but then again I can’t do the normal double inferno very often.

So true… skrulls normals are all pretty bad. I will say s.H is nice (+2 on block, ground bounces for an easy hit confirm). and s.L hits low so thats good. otherwise, you cannot press buttons with skrull.

though his command normals are pretty decent to poke at your enemy. and any time you hit someone with his stretch punch, know that you couldve also grabbed your opponent with command grab. so if you keep landing his forward H, or down forward H, cancel them into grab. itll totally fuck with your opponent. theyve all got his command grab in mind when playing against skrull so youll notice your opponent constantly moving away from command grab range (but you have to make them fear it).

Sometimes i feel like my opponents corner themselves to avoid getting grabbed.

Does anyone use the ability to charge his s.H and c.H to frame trap your opponents? or for anything other than combos? sometimes if drones hits my opponent ill have time to charge stone smite and wall bounce them for a combo. ive started using them in xfactor too. when my opponents see me charge stone smite they sometimes jump away from it to avoid it. COMMAND GRAB.

I don’t remember seeing this yet. In the lab I found a way to combo after a ground normal grab. I’m not sayng just Meteor Smash + Inferno.

I mean two rapid plink dashes + rapid air dash + down H.

I’ve seen it before, but I cannot replicate it since I dash weird. I’ve seen Skrubeks do it before and my buddy Apology Man.

It’s just some people either thought it was too far or didn’t have enough time to do it. I’m terrible at dashing multiple times so I couldn’t share this so thank you for bringing this to light.
