Skrull/Storm/(Wesk or Sent)

Right now im enjoying Wesk. Storm and Skrull create a Team Hyper Combo of galactic proportions, and you know how ez it is to get into those with Wesk.
And I have a re-vitalized interest in Wesker lately, I get bored with him, and then I find new mixups and combos. Just keep going back.
But neither of my anchors add much to Skrulls game when he’s on point. IMO

What about you; does your Sent add much to your Skrulls game, when Skrull is on point

Idk Skrull w/ drones is just dumb lol. You can double meteor smash at the end of any combo ie elastic slam, ad j.dH, dash S, j.MMHS, call drones, meteor smash, drones hit, meteor smash m, inferno 562,600. You can call drones then drop meteor smash on either side of the op, if drones hit dash up combo of choice, if drones blocked elastic 50/50, if smash hits then inferno or you can go for air reset. Dropping drones before j. dH allows you to run back up and continue pressure if pushblocked. If Storm dies and its just Skrull/Sent, corner grab turns into aerial exchange 50/50 and if they guess wrong well…[media=youtube]S65TWQZ-dAI"]this but I need get the[URL=“http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjAqoT3ik4Y”[/media] combo down. Then again idk if that Toan combo works on all chars. That’s all I can think of for now.

Inferno in the corner to Air grab reset, works all the time.
Meteor Smashes to finish off assist.
And im finally getting my midscreen :h:elastic slam resets,

I still want more synergy though, I have to be very patient to find a way in with Kl’rt unless I think I can Smash them, maybe Ill try the drones.

I’m considering picking up Sentinel, if I do, I’ll record it within the week.

@Mr.Nannie: That’s good your Skrull is advancing, I’m looking for more synergy too. I find that Tron Fire works fucking wonders with Skrull, it’s almost scary. Brings a ton of openings, and you can also condition your opponent to block and avoid the fire for free elastic grabs. Drones for obvious reasons, but another one that work well is Taskmasters horizontal arrows, they often stun long enough where Skrull can wavedash over and get a free combo, it’s great because they do so much damage (160k).

Cool thanks, I need to get a recorder haha, it was a pain just tryin to setup the phone so I could record that corner grab to Sent aerial exchange. On a random note, I wonder how much damage that meteor smash,drones,meteor smash combo would do if you do death penalty instead of the 2nd smash. Also, besides Storm w/ hail storm, are there any other dhc glitch starters w/ safe dhcs that would completely kill assists? I’m thinking maybe Magneto’s magnetic shockwave or Ammy’s Okami Shuffle? Not sure if those would be as devistating as hail storm. One more thing before I go to sleep (just got off work, ugh lol) THC after ise loop?

Trying to find skrull’s most damaging lvl1 solo combo…I think I’m close, but I need to tweak this one some more:

rolling hook (130k)
stone smite/charged jump S (120k)
charged crouching H (110k)

Hey guys. I was wondering if any of you have noticed the skrull smash dash in to combo has a different timing when you catch the point character and an assist in the skrull smash. I’m currently running the ps3 version and noticed there is significant slow down when i catch two characters while coming to the ground. I can’t tell if this is the nature of the move or what. I know others have been complaining the ps3 version drops frames but I would really like to know if its because of engine design or of its because of the ps3 version.

Could anyone with a 360 tell me if they experience something similar? To test, go in to training mode with the dummy team having zero as point with sentinel drones as an assist. Make zero calling the sentinel drone assist on constant playback and every time you hear sentinel come out do the skrull smash, hitting both zero and sentinel. What I believe may be happening, if its by engine design, is that because the two characters have vastly different hitbox sizes, the skrull smash hits twice thus slowing down the move in general. If that was the case I would need to adjust my dash timing accordingly, however, through testing several times the slow down seems to vary, leading me to believe its the ps3 dropping frames. Sometimes it is negligible and other times it completely affects my dash follow up.

I got the tenderizer to pop out at the end with a jump cancel. Just mash H a few times during the smite and push up.

*I think I just found some dirty shit with Super Skrull. So I was sitting in training mode trying to figure out some applications for Skrulls Tenderizer assist and I noticed that sometimes the ending hits of the assist whiff on crouch blocking characters so my wheels started to spin a bit. I began to wonder how I could work it into characters coming in off a snapback/death and I found out that Skrulls assist will keep an opponent blocking on their way down and the opponent will still keep blocking some of the later hits of Tenderizer. However if you bump into your opponent just a little bit the later hits from tenderizer will whiff thus setting up a tick throw like situation. Even better is that if you’re using a character with a command throw setting up combo opportunities afterwards.

I started testing out ways to get out of this setup and the incoming character can hold upback until they hit the ground and then attempt to rejump into the air but you can do a quick hitting low attack to counteract that and go into a full combo. I tested this out on Dorm,Hulk, Doom, Task, Akuma, Phoenix, Zero, Viewtiful Joe and Ammy and the only discrepancy I had was on Hulk and Ammy. The only discrepancy was the last few hits whiffing on ammy once she hits the ground and hulk getting hit by the last few hit even once he was grounded but I can definitely due with testing this out some more and getting the timing just right. I can definitely see this tactic being VERY good for snapping in Phoenix plus this works midscreen by dashing then calling Skrull but depending on the characters dash and the incoming characters size the options change a bit. *

Wassup my Skrull brethren (do the Skrull have a definable gender?), I have a quick question I love skrull and he’s a key component to my team but I feel terribly one dimensional when I play him. Right now my team is Skrull (tenderizer)/Tasky (horizantal arrow)/Wesker (low shot), currently my main tactic is just fishing for unblockables with Pile-driver (Down+C in the air)…hit combo, reset, dead, and repeat but other than that it’s all I got with him I feel that my ground game is severely lacking. No ones really punishing wiffed pile-drivers atm but I just feel like I’m going about things wrong. Any tips to help out my ground game?

You can get openings with elastic grab, and Tasks arrows allow you to get openings with crouching light.

It’s a few months in now, what are you guys doing now to follow up your elastic grabs? What’s your elastic grab BnB, I’m still sticking with this.

*I do two reps of the Ise loop into inferno. Builds pretty much the same amount of meter as air magic into smash and relaunch combos but does 545k (just rechecked I thought it was 555k). I just tried messing around with calling assist while I relaunch but it just scales the damage down to 535ish every time. I’m trying to find a way to get 600k off a slam but it’s looking mighty difficult to find. *

Yeah, 545k is cool, that’ more than mine (534k). You can also do potential reset after that right? I really wish Skrull’s hit scaling didn’t go into effect so quickly.
