Beating justin

That was good shit Dragon, but this points up was OWNED:evil:

Oh my God, Wong is mad killer. When you see him play people at chinatown it’s like no contest. Not even X and Sanford beat him regularly, I’ve seen them beat him, but when he’s serious like at EVO type stuff I don’t think he’s beatable. He starts perfecting people for fun…This guy is unexplainable. His gaming characteristics are ALL at the top, nothing missing to hold him back, thats why he’s so great.

Yes Wong is really that good but nobody is ‘‘unbeatable’’, but overall id have to say he is the best player and give him mad props

I think the scariest part of justin is that it’s hard to explain WHY he is so good…you can normally say “well he won cuz he’s got the best magneto, or the best sentinel” But ive heard justin doesn’t have the best sentinel or best magneto out there…it’s a lot scarier when people cant explain WHY you keep winning.

Mixup posting,

you gotta be more patient than justin to beat him, playing justin is like an endurance match  u gotta block forever…while getting constantly baited

Its actually pretty funny to play casual with him, he’s too good.

Yeah my friend said “It’s like if someone shot a bullet at you and you dodged it but then it richochets into your head!!!” Perfect example of playing Wong he says.

50MoreCents, I know it’s just your opinion sorry, I was just stating my opinion too.

nice of you gus to reply…i know know why he’s great but surely all good players out there have bad days too. Like for example you get hit by unblockabes or you forgot to guard or whatever…

duc duo was the champ before am i right? did justin beat him too?
did anybody here beat him like 5 games straight or something? was he born a good player? even when he was still starting to play he’s already good?wtf?!? is he even human???

Duc won B4 and won most of the SHGL tournaments up until B5. Then he ended up in 2nd place to Wong (don’t think he played at ECC or MWC), and I don’t know how much he has played after that.

It is a mix of both innate aptitude and also a learning process IM:o. What proves this is how he’s so adept is his skill in other fighting games too (CVS2/3S) even though he’s not a master at them.

The same way Alex Valle can get 5th place in a Soul Caliber tourney even though he barely plays.

You have your Jordans, Tigers, and Lances in nearly every genre of sports or games. Heck even last night I saw the best card thrower who could split a bannana in half!!!

I’m a say it again Justin is the Itachi of MvC2.

He’s on a whole higher level. Same for Itachi owning up the rest of the naruto characters in Naruto. Justin plays friggin chess with your mind seriously. You think your safe from his first attack, but the first attack only setup a trap into a checkmate. He gets 2 moves you get 1 per turn.

Duc was considered probably the best at the game from B4 until about the January before B5. Then Alex Valle started playing Team Watts and was considered the best until about a month or two before B5, when he first met Justin at Midwest Championships of that year. Justin torched Valle at that tournament and has been universally considered to be the best ever since. He’s had a few scares along the way. e.g. at ECC7 he almost got eliminated by a couple of Seattle players before he even played Row; after getting worked by Combofiend in the pools at Evo2k2 he came pretty close to getting eliminated by Jose Garcia in the losers final of his pool; and then there was Mixup at ECC8.

But Justin is the smartest player out there, he adapts better than anyone else in the game, he blocks like a madman, and he always has that extra gear he can shift to in the end if he gets in trouble. People who watch really good players (heck, even me sometimes) can see that when they’re up against somebody they’ve got no business losing to if they know what they’re looking for. Wanderer calls it “his opponents getting nervous”. That’s Wanderer being too big an idiot to know what he’s looking at when he’s watching game film. The description he’s looking for is “Justin realizes he’s got no more room for error and turns it up that last extra notch”.

The comeback against X is one good one. But perhaps a better one is the grand finals against Duc at B5. Justin basically horses around in the first 5 games and finds himself down 3-2. Then in the last two games he dials up that extra notch… and Duc is completely and mercilessly torched. It was neither close nor even funny.

this jwong guy must be a god or something…hey justin,if youre listening, what can you say bout you always winning? whats your secret? that is if you have one…

i asked him that at the arcade… he told me he’s just that way

I think I play Kirby’s Avalanche (AKA Dr.Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine) the same way, against my friends. :stuck_out_tongue:

Justin Wong is so good because he plays the game way too much. I went to Chinatown fair a few times and everytime I went there within an hour justin wong was there playing MVC2 or some other capcom fighting game. Anone know what wong does besides video games?

his girlfriend…

idk… he never plays when i’m there… he jsut watches

It’s also funny how he’s only posted on SRK like 20 times for the past 4 years.

Lord knows how many people would constantly harass him for strats if he posted regularly. (Anybody remember “Ducvader teaches MVC2”?)

L:lol:L!!! Too True. Don’t forget the Soo-fanatix (not the people like me who thinks he’s an awesome player but those who say like "marry me Soo!!!"etc…) would be flaming Justin on how he lost vs Soo and sucks even though he won Evo 2 years in a row.
