I absolutely believe the best character in the game to be Ryu, as demonstrated by 90% of online players choosing him, but I’m not interested in going down that obvious path. Quite understandably most people want to be the best player out there but not me. I like the fact I’m using a char everyone scoffs at and the feeling of beating a high ranking shoto with such a ‘low tier’ is tremendous! Everytime I win against the ‘Empre’ I picture a flabby sanctimonious medieval prince with a chicken wing in his mouth falling off their diamond encrusted throne wth a look of shock on their face as their beaurocratic reign crumbles at their feet!
Or something.
I main guile, but my alternate is deejay. So far I’m getting whopped pretty bad with Deejay only winning about 38% of my matches.

When Super came out I mained Deejay, played him almost exclusively for a few months. Then I kinda noodled around with the SSF4 roster to see whose fighting styles I liked, to play as alternatives if I get stale on Deejay. I mainly only use Deejay for ranked, but in endless I use mostly everybody. I just recently got to A rank with Deejay on PSN, not that rank really matters though. Also many people say I play pretty aggressive.

I’m just starting with DeeJay but I think I have a pretty good grasp on the fundamentals of 3s and SSFIV. I’m looking for people to help me with applying pressure and specific matchups. I feel pretty decent with him if I play him really lame like rog or chun, but that doesn’t really utulize all his strengths. I want to be good in all aspects of him especially for AE.
