Beasts Fury new 2DFG

if you want that go play primal rage of bloody roar its already been done before. i am creating something that i always wanted in a fighting game so far got 46 people wanting the same thing thanks for your comment.

I don’t think putting animal heads on dudes is groundbreaking. Or interesting really. But how could 46 people be wrong haha.
The whole point of animal dudes/beasts(like in the name of your game) is that they aren’t just people. That’s what makes BEASTS special. That is the whole purpose of a beast. Remove the monster aspect of them and they become regular dudes with animal heads. In which case there isn’t really a reason for the animal heads.
And why do you stress that you are a fan of Bloody Roar and Primal Rage? Your artwork so far has nothing in common with either of them and you told me if I want beasts I should play those games instead(I won’t, because I actually played both and don’t remember them to be any good). So why even mention it in the first place? Especially when you have no intentions of actually making a beast game.
I guess it might be to try to get people off the furry thing, but if there is no reason for them to have animal heads, other than that you want them to have animal heads, you will not be able to shake that stygma off.

Also please use proper punctuation. It makes everything so much easier to read.[URL=‘http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/english-german/punctuation.html’]

A 2d fighter with characters transforming from human to animal hybrid form and gaining faster movement, higher jumps, the ability to chain together longer combos (or maybe switching combo types entirely: sf2-style combos while human, vs-style chain combos w/ launchers and air chains, plus specials do more hits while in anthro/hybrid form) would be interesting.

Just started to color in the first character clean up and flat colors now.

What will differentiate this game from other 2D fighters gameplay-wise? Will it be casual/accessible, or technical in its execution? Etc.

No offense but it’s a little too close to being furry for my taste. The models look like something on Deviantart that I would kinda’ regret finding.

Hope the game turns out well though.

Monster Ancient Cline

I like the concept, but I’d feel more safe donating if it were kickstarter or something similar.

Sorry, Im withholding mine until then.

So one poster doesn’t think the character designs are furry enough and another thinks they’re too furry…

This is great. I need something to replace the empty space left by a lack of Bloody Roar. I loved most of the characters but even I have to admit the game was unbalanced.

Depends on which Bloody Roar you are talking about the first game was quite unbalanced, Greg put the ape in rape and Alice was a nightmare to deal with. Later games 2,3 and PF don’t have so bad balance, not perfect thats for sure but still no major problems outside the boss character Uranus. BR4 on the other hand god damn now that shit was a mess lol

2 and 3 def played the best. 4…while having some interesting new characters was just…eh. I get that they were trying to make the fighting system more complex but they went about it the wrong way. Also I hated that Reji in his crow form would actually slow the game down.

The gameplay we are going for is alot like Street fighter 3rd strike same type of feel and play style but not a complete clone me myself i like technical side of fighting games but my team would like to make it accessible to hardcore and casual.

Here is the Indiegogo http://igg.me/p/267192 thanks for the comment and i understand with the Indiegogo if we dont meet the $4000 deadline everyone gets refunded.

Sorry ? comment dident make any sense to me.

Thats fine each to there own thanks for the comment.

I know i loved Bloody Roar i miss it so me and my team decided to make a game like it in many ways thanks for the comment please spread the word if possbile about this project.

Monster is a Indie fighing game that asethically is similiar to your game.

Just saw the rough Vincent and Matilda idle animations. It’s shaping up beautifully. What made you decide to go to 2d in the end?

Thanks for the comment yeah we were going to go 3D but we dident have a skilled enough 3D modeler at the time and most of the team preffered 2D over 3D its coming along slowly but surely.
