Yeah i am working on it lol
Still, $5000 seems overly optimistic.
BeastFury: d3v:I really do hope the game has a budget of more than $5,000. Unless off course, you guys are relying on alot of free/voltunteer work.
Most of us are working for free or very low pay rate to get this project moving along we do know it a small goal because we are still building a fan base and that the amount is to keep the game afloat for now smaller goals throughout the year are more achievable than a larger amount that will never reach its goal at this time
Still, $5000 seems overly optimistic.
That maybe so but we are not established already like LabZero is and we have done the math $5000 will cover 3 characters and 1 stage in the end if it gos well we need about $70000 to finish it.

Still sounds overly optimistic, especially for 3 characters. If we follow the actual costs that LZ posted, and take out the bits you most likely don’t have to deal with (staff salaries and animation contracting), that’s still more than $5000.
$48,000: Staff Salaries - 8 people for 10 weeks
$30,000: Animation and Clean-up Contracting
$4,000: Voice recording
$2,000: Hit-box Contracting
$5,000: Audio Implementation Contracting
$20,000: QA Testing
Unless off course, you’re getting everything for free and doing the voice recordings in your bedrooms.
I hope the ninjutsu wolf can be an unlockable. Are there any? As for character ideas for the future, once Beast’s Fury is successful. How about…

- Beetle using vale tudo
- Bull using lucha libre
- Rhino using pankration
- Mantis using mantis kung fu
- Cobra using snake kung fu
- Skunk using long fist
- Rabbit using kickboxing
- Coyote using okichitaw

You don’t have to spend anywhere near what Lab Zero spent to make a reasonably complete fighting game character.

That’s why I already crossed out a few items.
Edit: There’s also the fact that this was the only time in recent memory that a fighting game developer broke down their per character cost. That, and other people within the industry have stated that what LZ is spending is “a steal”.

Yeah, I mean, I’m not knocking LZ or SG in any way. If you want to be professional about everything you have to pay for it.
But for a side-project some of those costs are crazy. You could buy a used SM57 for like $50 and hire a local college kid from the theater department to record a voice for you for $200. You might even get to use their practice space for free when you do it. It might not be amazing, but it’ll be passable.
Edit: Just realized this has a high probability of derailing this thread, so I’ll drop it.
Glad to see some progress. The project is shaping up nicely it seems.
You might want to go more into detail on game features, gameplay systems, netplay, etc. Right now most of the stuff you’ve shown is mostly aesthetics, so it doesn’t really give a good idea of what the game is actually like.
And, not to rain on your parade or something, but I think the art style might be a turn-off for some. Same problem Dust: An Elysian Tale had. ^^;; I personally think it looks good!
Updated thank you for your advice.

Yeah lol Still working on it how you been ?. well i hope.

If the game is successful we have atleast another 24 characters we want to bring in.

Yes she is going to have a french accent.
Closed by request, since more good stuff is forthcoming. Good luck.
