Motoki: where do you live? I’m thinking of trying to chill on the East coast for a lil, Maybe go to ECCX. Or maybe Ice can help also I dunno. I just need a change in the sence from here.
Shen: Playing Yun you wanna get as many plams in GJ combos. So I suggest learning karapalming. It’s to hard to really get if I type it, and to long, but you can still win w/o it, so don’t worry about getting it before TS5. If you can coo, but if not then don’t trip.
GJ combos: It’s so many combos when I 1st learned him, I had to write them down. So I’ma drop some combos I know, from me, to you homie. Enjoy!!! and have fun nigga!
Edit Yuns cross up dive kick.
You can cross up any opponent in the game except for Yun & Yang. It doesn’t work on them, but it works on every body else. All you gotta do is input the dive kick motion as soon as Yun is behind the oppenent ( in air of course). So instead of doing :df: :lk: in front of the opponent do it the other way (:db: :lk:) behind them, and make sure you use the right strength, cause if you don’t you’ll dive to far, and sometimes will miss an chance to nail combos.
Also in the corner this trick is best because you it’s harder for tall oppenents to block accordingly to it, etc… Urien, Hugo, Q, Necro, and Dudley. So if you get a knock down in the corner make sure you follow up with a dive kick cross up. Not all the time, but use your judgement, and think will it work here? Well you can do it as much as you want but I mean eventually they smartin’ up and block.
Key
Basic 3hit- Means the Jab, short, strong combo you use to start the GJ combos off with.
Basic 4hit- Means the Jab, short, strong, Tetsuzanko(shoulder pop)
launcher- is just Forward and Fierce, or FP
Ex…Basci 3or4hit, activate GJ, Crouching short, Standing FP, (FP) Tetsuzanko <— Which is the shoulder pop. Don’t ask me about the name I looked it up. I just use them when posting combos, because it’s clearer at least to me when you use the name, cuz I can just look it up in the book and see what move(s) the persons refering to.
Also I’m not a YUN expert. I can play and win with him on a certain level but I’m practicing him too, for TS5 though. So trust I’ll be up to par by then. I’ll let you know when I get the XBL hookup too.
Edit 2
Grab setups:
*You can pretty much get away with murder sometimes with Yuns Grab setups. You can dive kick with :lk: right in front of them and walk up a lil bit and grab.
*Use a cross up dive, and grab.
*Dive kick, motion grab.
*Sometimes I whiff the Dive kick on the oppenents wake up and Motion, or Neutral grab.
So back to GJ combos:
-
Basic 3or4hit, activate GJ, crouching short, standing FP, (FP)Tetsuzanko(until they get to the corner then you gotta use) MP Tetsuzanko’s, Forward+FP,(JP) Zesshou hohou. <—This move is that rush punch YUN has. Forward+FP, Zesshou hohou is pretty much how your gonna end your combos pretty much, so try to remember that.
-
Basic 3or4hit, activate GJ, crouching short(x2), standing FP, dash, Zepou tenshin, nishoukyaku, overhead kick(x2), Zesshou hohou, Standing medium kick, Forward+FP, Zesshou hohou.
3.??? I’ll post some more later, finna practice a lil bit before I go to work.
