Bayonetta demands Dante (DMC) to make her a sandwich. Patch fix available for PS3!

I enjoy parrying.

I also enjoy getting the Bracelet of Time now.

I do not enjoy watching my scores go down to get my total game time under 3 hours. Sigh. Seems my next task is to finish finding everything and to raise my scores back up.

You could have just done the speed run on easy mode or hard mode…

Kinships piss me off sometimes, man. Of course one would be way too easy to deal with…so they always appear with 1 or 2 other Kinship buddies as backup…so as soon as you get on one ship in that prime spot to unleash hell on that bitch, BAM 12,000 missiles all up in your face so you have to dodge and get some witch time going on to take care of that situation…if it’s not that it’s the chained claws or the energy shots or the laser beam. No matter what, Kinship’s buddy hangs back in the distance and always has the situation covered…then of course there’s no ground so you have to be concerned with falling off and losing health for it.(*at least it isn’t an instant death though) I forgot what chapter that is where you first meet them, but they single-handedly destroyed my chances of getting a halfway decent award/rank for the chapter a little while ago. I was doing quite alright until they showed up. Well, at least I’m getting rid of those “dookie stone” awards.

You don’t have to overwrite your score lol.

Spirit Juice asked about this earlier.

can someone explain to me exactly what Dodge Offset is and how to use it correctly?

Ok use Scarobouro Fair. Hit P and hold it. While the gun is shooting hit dodge. Then hit again and hold it. Dodge again. See how the combo continues? Thats dodge offsetting. it works at any point in a combo and you can even use the Panther form for it to.

According to a Japanese blog, Sony has said:

?Sorry but we can?t change anything at the loading time of this game.

I think isn?t possible that a patch can change this.?

lololol

Trying to find a more reliable source though.

I’m just saying dodging feels like I’m backing off for a bit.

And yeah, I believe the Sony thing. As I was saying before, enhancing the performance of this game by using the SPUs would take a rewriting of the game code, which I don’t think any patch can do. Load times, however, I’m not sure about. I’ll definitely believe that it might not be possible, though, but I guess that would depend on the programming.

Well, got the game yesterday and finished the main story tonight. Fun. But, I gotta go back and get that last piece of LP so I can get the ice skates. Maybe try to get more achievements since I only got 25/50 so far. Got all the techs along with 2 accessories so far. Think I did pretty good for my first “24” hours with the game. I gotta RTSD since I gotta return it Saturday to Blockbuster. This sealed the deal on me buying it to be honest.

That and I love that there’s J-Pop during epic boss fights. Makes me ever so happy.

I understand. It’s not that dodging keeps you from attacking it’s just that parrying throws off your enemy which prevents them from attacking for a second unlike dodging where an enemy will keep going while witch time is in effect.

Yesterday I discovered just how beastly the whip is. It’s like my favorite weapon now. Snatching people up and doing that little slap combo or the kilgore glitch combo is just too good. Jumping off enemies while in the air is so satisfying.

Sorry for the late reply, but tried this out a couple of nights ago and it was indeed a breeze - thanks for the hint!

Bought the parry accessory last night and worked on some more achievements. Going to try and get everything I can (all crows, Witch Tombs and possible achievements) before beating the game on Normal, then move onto either Easy or Hard. There’s the one item you get by beating Easy mode (Immortal Marionette) that I’d like to have for completion’s sake, even if you shouldn’t really use it in any other mode.

Did anyone else submit shots of them beating Hard mode to the Penny Arcade contest for the game?

I mean, free shirt…so why not?

I’m not because the site says the shirt size is Large so it probably won’t fit me.

What the HELL is with the Bat Within???

I was just testing it out and its a BITCH to hit. I’m no slouch on timing for games like this and I found it insanely difficult to hit consistently…I tried many different timings and I got it to work maybe 1/20 attempts.

I mean…you just press RT when you get hit…but the window seems like a one frame link wtf???

Damn those claw wielding jokers…loving this game just they tore me a new one.

It’s basically just back up for when you fuck up a dodge.

But still, you can mash it when you get caught in a multi-hit move to escape the follow up hits.

You and me both. As soon as they’re on the screen, a billion missiles are headed towards you. I still can’t manage to parry any of them from the jump, because of the positioning of the camera. I can barely dodge them properly. They are the one set of enemies I can’t stand. bah.

Close to the end of Infinity Climax. To think there is one more level after this…yeesh. lol. Getting a pure platinum is going to be hell in this mode.

I normally don’t use items, but I can’t stand playing the missile level. I had no idea the penalties were that great. You might as well just die if you want to use one…

Yeah, the camera kind of sucks. I find it funny that the default, “inverted” setting is the normal setting of almost every other game.

Well, for Hard and NSIC modes, I use items on a regular basis. My objective for those modes is just to clear them, get the trophies/rewards for doing so and move on. I get little to no satisfaction of overcoming those obstacles. Gracious and Glorious doing 1-1.5 bars of damage in one hit is not fun to me, I’m like…“Yellow lolli time son!” Fuck Witch Time, I’m the goddamn juggernaut
