C’mon Joe. Tribes is a thinking mans game. Its all about timing, acuracy, speed, and reaction times. That game was the bomb since it hit 98. Jon when you steal that copy from macfrugals. HaHa.
Its the greatest fps to date and cant nobody hold it. Been playin 4 years straight.

Anyways wsup with games Wednesday and Thursday the only two days Im off this week.
I gota work the graveyard shift on wednesday, but thursday sounds good to me was up.
I think he was just pissed off ‘cuz everyone kept tellin’ him “Play in 3S or MvC2”.
As for certain games sucking, obviously Bloodstorm is debatable because some didn’t spend alot of time with it. I just some people didn’t invest in actually trying it and getting used to the engine. Now Timekillers and War Gods on the other hand, those did suck.
As for the MK Series, MK II & UMK3 can have some intense games, so how you can so those suck is beyond me, especially when it was one of the games to go to the arcade to play back in the day.
oh my goodness, i wanted War Gods to not suck, since I worked at a Tilt when I was younger, but alas…suckage.
As for MK2/3, high-level play consists of Mileena and Jax. They control too much space; horizontal, vertical, underground…you get the idea. Combos were fun, I can’t deny that.
MK3 would’ve been great for me, had not it been the stupid dial-a-combo system. Midway tried to make it “flashy” by adding in those silly things that did more damage than a difficult juggle. Go figure.

you know what fighting game i kind of liked? that Atari fighter that came around the time of War Gods also…i forgot the name.
I’ve never had any trouble with Mileena or Jax, most highly skilled ppl I’ve played use Human Smoke or Ermac etc.
I think the game you are refering to is either Vicious Circle or Mace…one of the two…
For MK 2, the Ninjas & Shang control those games. The Ninjas have the un-godly Roundhouse which goes through anything and Shang has standing HK which is basically the same context.
As for UMK3 (NOT MK3 as UMK3 is much better), even though it has dial-a-combos, the most damaging ones are juggle based. That’s pretty evident with Ermac’s & Human Smoke’s uppercut combos. Even the other characters that don’t have uppercut juggle starters utilize the corners to tack on extra attacks which are all juggle based.
Should have my new sticks finished by this week. They’re big. My blue stick is too small for my hands.

we got a good scene goin on here in waco, a diverse crowd with different specialties, something that DFW always lacked and quite possibly still does…
DFW still hasn’t seen Nether’s nice arcade setup in his garage,along with the fightingfanatic website. engineering at its finest, something that deserves some recognition.

Yeah, Time Warner = bleh…
I have had my share or problems with Grande though, but not as bad as Time Warner. Of course I also know some of the techs at Grande, so that’s probably a plus :rolleyes:
