Battlefield Arcadia #1: Tournament Mode (Kings Games) 07/26/09

I spoke with Johnny Cage and after careful consideration of both the community and the patrons of our first event we are put in a dilemma where we are obligated to the community on Sunday August 9th 2009 but we’re also in the way of the community for Street Fighter 4. I have spoken to the Emperorshand and other members who make up the council for this matter and I have decided the following.

Our scheduled event will continue at the date set however the games that we will provide will differ. For gamers who wish to compete in Street Fighter 4, we have compromised this unique situation for 1 time only to accommodate in fairness and in good will with the community to continue our tradition in unifying the greater gamer community. We suggest that you go to CFN to compete in Street Fighter 4. In replacement we will be running a KoF12 and Smash Brothers Brawl Tournament.

This provides a service to the gaming community that CFN is currently not providing. More gamers will come out and everyone will be catered to. This is the best strategy that we have and I will see to it that the Empire sticks to it. In the interest of the Blaz Blue gamers that we promised to hold a tournament for at Kings Games, if more than 12 people show up we will host a small tournament for the game as you all requested. However we suggest that you join the bulk community and go to CFN.

Yea guys, you really have to look at the forums before you start scheduling events. It’s just kind a silent respect to other organizers to make sure that no dates conflict. You can’t expect other people to move their dates that have already been scheduled, and it’s kind of disrespectful to just schedule an event right on top of someone else’s. That’s why bi-weeklies are a little hard, especially when you run one tournament then just come out saying it’s a ranbat and that it’s bi-weekly, kind of forcing players to go again.

But again, I appreciate the respect you gave me by changing your event. My suggestion to you would be to post a thread in the Tournaments and Events board with the title saying Bi-Weekly tournament. This way, when organizers try to get another event together, they can then schedule it around your event and show you the same respect.
