It doesn’t deserve the epicness of the DCAU.
They are making a Shazam/Captain Marvel (DC) movie. I wonder if he will be dark, gritty and emo?
He’ll be an asshole like his new 52 counterpart.
Kicking babies and stealing from the homeless while wearing a shit eating grin going “Smash Smash Smash!”
So WB doesn’t want any comedy in its movies. They also feel that the reason Green Lantern failed was because of too many jokes, rather than the terrible story, rushed villains, re-writing Sinestro’s origin, failing with Parrallax, not having the movie take place in space, and not being tied into the DC universe.
Everything that gets announced is another layer of fail.
It’s like what would happen if Capcom was a movie studio…
No jokes? I guess they didn’t watch Avengers or Guardians of the Galaxy.
For someone who hates Capcom so much, you sure as hell can’t keep them out of your mouth.
You are right though, this has got to be a record for consecutive horrible announcements for one movie.
I don’t mind the "no joke"policy since marvel has had a fairly inconsistent hit and miss ratio with that.
If this edict is true, I guess that was behind Man of Steel having next to no jokes.
This is just sad though. I hate to be talking shit about this movie every time some new news comes out, but it’s not giving me a choice. They’re introducing too many people and taking too many chances with the main characters. Like I’ve said a billion times before, I’ll be amazed if this movie is good.
You can still be funny without actually saying anything. That would require said actors to actually act and move their facial muscles though
WB said no to ALL comedy. That includes other non joke forms of comedy.
They want it as grim and bleak as Batman.
I seriously can’t wait for this movie to fail and WB just gives up on any future non Batman movies until next century.
Exactly. Id rather not see Nightwing become some bland robot. Plz drop him from the movie…
I keep hoping the end of the movie will be Myxlplyx showing up, going HAHA fooled you all, then they’ll show a trailer for a movie that won’t be the laughing stock of the internet.
I haven’t been keeping up with the movie developments, but why is everyone so down on this movie?
Because:
- Man of Steel was not excellent
- Everyone wanted a Superman sequel, but by including Batman they’re taking away from Superman some of the protagonist
- Weird casting choices
Every new bit of info on this movie has been a downer. From casting, the characters the will include, the people working on it and it’s creative direction is not inspiring confidence that this movie will be good.
Maybe this movie will be like X-Men: DoFP and totally suprise everybody by not sucking and actually being quite good…(I hope)
Except at least in DoFP not everything released made everyone annoyed. Matter of fact the only big issue I remember people being up in arms about was Wolvie being sent back instead of Kitty, but it made sense relative to the universe and he was more of a side/framing character for the movie so…meh.
