I’ve said it before, but that’s the only reason I’m following this. However, I now feel like that dude in the old-school Eddie Murphy bit who was starved and went crazy over a cracker he was given. I haven’t heard a single thing about this movie that gives me hope, and am now worried that once I hear something that’s actually good, I’ll be swarming over this movie like it’s going to be another Dark Knight.
Traditionally, Luthor was always been a self made man. I recall a few origins for the guy where he grew up in Suicide Slums with Perry White. Lex inheriting his business was a creation of Smallville I believe.

If you read the “The unauthorized biography of Lex Luthor” you find out that he actually started his fortune by killing his parents on a car accident and cashing in on their life insurance (he then killed the mechanic that helped him loosing the car breaks). The he started Lexcorp, always making sure no one finds about his past
At least the colors on Superman’s costume are bright. I hate the muddy colors on the costume in Man of Steel

If you can take anything away from the last two promos (batman+batmobile and this image), it is that the movie is not going to be bright and colourful.
