Mostly just the length of violent scenes. Like regardless if you have blood splattering all over or not, you can only have but so many violent scenes, that last for a certain length of time before they will deem your movie rated r. I mean, there is a lot of violence in batman vs superman. To list a few below
The movie starts off with terrorist killing jimmy
Then lex jrs goons kill the terrorist
Then superman puts a guy through 2 walls
Then batman is torturing a child trafficker
Then batman is killing mad niggas on the dock
In batmans dream sequence, mad people are killed. He was saving that one girl, pulling her along, and she got shot did, batman let her go immediately, and went back to murking niggas
Evil superman fries two people alive in front of batman in the dream sequence.
That guy blew himself up in court, and incinerated everyone.
The list goes on. lol. I could imagine just a 4 minute extension each, on the dock scene, the dream sequence scene, and when batman saves martha, would add enough violence to have made it technically rated r. Then the other 15 minutes or so would just be cut stuff.
I heard ct fletcher is in batman vs superman. Im disgusted it didnt make the original cut. lol.
I wont pay a third time for the r rated cut. Id rather them just up the street date for the dvd/bluray. Not gonna pay 15 bucks for imax again, when i could own it for the same price. lol
I forgot about this, but i bet in the new cut they show how batman beat the shit out of all those people at lexcorp and stole the kryptonite. You just see the aftermath of that, which is mad people on stretchers.
Actually, I loved it the very first time I saw it. So naturally I’m going to be excited for the director’s cut showing up in the theaters.
You know what else I went and saw at the theater, even though I own it on Blu-ray? Jurassic Park 3-D a few years ago. You know why? Because I enjoy going to the theater to watch movies I enjoy watching at the theater when they are playing at the theater.
Son, i wanted to see amy adams titties so bad in that scene. LOL. I remember in my head thinking, a little higher. Please god, a little higher. She was nice and full bodied, as she always is. Gal gadot is beautiful in the face, but amy adams has a nice body type. Shes a nice full bodied woman, which in the normal world isnt a big deal, but in hollywood, its like 50/50. lol
The difference here is that it’s OK to see some re-releases after a certain period of time (they relaunched Titanic in 3-D a while back, still OK considering it’s almost 20 years old now). I even saw the special editions of Star Wars when they came out in the 90’s for the same reasons you just explained.
What is completely FUCKIN retarded is to release the same movie TWICE in the SAME YEAR as a way of saying “Oops, we fucked up, here is the more risque version, please love us!”. Like many people already said, I doubt it will increase the overall quality of the movie either, if at all.
