I think it will be ok, but highly over shadowed by Civil War and Suicide Squad… lets not forget Deadpool last month. Suicide Squad is the DC film i’m looking forward to, i’m not as hyped for BvS but i’ll likely watch it after hearing the reviews. Civil War is 10x more interesting and anticipating than BvS IMO. I am open to the possibility of BvS actually being better than Civil War in actual, lets just see.
To be fair, going with low expectations to BvS I’m sorta ready to get mildly impressed. Like, I feel it’s gonna be similar to MoS where it wasn’t a bad film but little things kept it from being labeled a “good” one. Im worried about hipster Luthor and anemic WW making me hate it.
On the other hand, Civil War looks dope. Cap movies have always been consistently good and this could probably top Winter Soldier. I guess comic book nerds on their late 20s/early 30s like me win no matter what this year.

Honestly, I don’t see what’s wrong about being “dark” or not. Like Flashpoint was darker than 90% of DC films and was good, have heard no nigga sayin “wish there was more colors on Flashpoint”. I think it’s more when it’s forced like when Harry Potter’s whole cast kept regurgitating by their third movie “it’s darker, it’s more mature, bla bla”. Darker =/= better. I could see why Batman has that tone and why you’d want maybe Supes to have certain arcs like that but like GL or Flash should be different. Thor is not a good series for example, but no one seems to mention it when talking about “bad” films, because it wasn’t really “bad”. It was average and served its purpose. Marvel fans even defend IM2, because they have been given more average movies overall.
Meanwhile, GL movie sucked and killed all my hopes of getting a decent DC universe ffs. Now Erza Miller as 18 year old Barry Allen gtfo. Oh well, maybe the next reboot when I’m 50 will turn out alright
