Man, I’m so out of the loop on this shit it hurts. I watch the movies when I can and that’s it. I don’t watch the trailers or look up news on purpose. I don’t want to know half of the movie before I even hit play. This thread isn’t too spoilery if you skip the youtube videos I was just really surprised to hear that they’re giving him the cold shoulder.
It wasn’t so much a question asked to get information, more one to express my shock that such a major character is just getting shoved into a bigger movie.
There’s a difference between you having nightmares about your parent’s traumatizing deaths from when you were a child, and mulling over the moral compass of an alien who for all intents and purposes has shown the utmost vigilance when it comes to protecting the earth you live on.
I mean contemplation about what could be is one thing, but nightmares of some kind of god-like extraterrestrial Hitler is another. I usually figure Bruce isn’t the kind to have nightmares about anything unless its really really personal.
Like I’d understand if he witnessed the shit Superman from Gods & Monsters did; he gave no fucks about life if you were a hardened criminal.
It was sorta, uh, idk. I mean I wish Doomsday was left a surprise, I didn’t expect it. Now you know pretty much the movie is half the Justice League vs DD.
We already knew doomsday was going to be in the movie, that was a give in. I dont think that what we saw will be the final doomsday, and if it is, maybe doomsday isnt the sole big baddy of the film. IMO that looked more like a doomsday light, and there is something theyre still holding onto. Maybe a second more powerful enemy, or a second enemy as powerful, or a final form of doomsday.
I mean, i get what people are saying in here, but were you all honestly going to be surprised by anything in comic movies in general? lol. Ultimately youre mostly going to the movie to see a live action version of your favorite comic book characters, with some small plot twist, not to actually be completely surprised by a brand new character.
There are still surprises to be had though. Like other justice league people showing up, other enemies, and possible varying stages in development of doomsday.
I wouldnt be surprised if that doomsday, eventually in the movie evolves to this doomsday.
Eisenberg is probably tied with picking Znyder to direct as the biggest mistake we’ve seen so far. I literally can’t take him seriously.
Doomsday came out of no where and added nothing. The Batman fight may be the only thing worth watching, and it’ll just be a rehash of the fight in MoS.
