I’ve beat the game already and beat all the side missions except the riddler and the random acts of violence. Do you have to collect all the Riddler trophies to free all the hostages?
You just need to solve 400 riddles. I completed that sidequest and I didn’t collect one single Catwoman trophy
Playin this on hard mode is outrageous. The goons with the guns are beatin my ass.
in this game he lets go of people he interrogates over 2 story buildings and balconies. I’m sure if you were dropped from your ankles, you’d have a pretty good chance of snapping your neck when you hit the floor and die/become paralyzed
FYI you get a million points just for not getting hit before you land 220 attacks (then it auto banks), and that doesn’t even need to be a combo. I want to say I’ve dropped like 3 combos and still got 220 auto-bank. Once I stopped doing fancy stuff and going for unnecessary takedowns, I got the million pretty easily. Hope that helps.
I thought the first title was overhyped, it was okay but not great. but HOLY SMOKES arkham city is 1000 times better. It works WAY WAY WAY better in a city setting, where the backtracking isn’t as ‘feelable’. I finished the game within a week with all side missions and riddler trophies for both characters. [didn’t played the challenges tho,ain’t like them]. Simply best game of 2011 if I reconsider (Dark Souls now being 2nd). Imo a near ‘Perfect Game’ and I don’t say that often. in fact it’s about the 3rd time ever. this game is a must play title imo. seeing it’s batman even more.
Catwoman was my best character…until I played Nightwing! I think I just flow with him the best. Sadly Robin is truly my worst character.
Dang, I still need to finish all of the other characters’ challenges and run through new game+

So I finished this a few days ago. At first I thought it was awesome, but the more I played it, the less I cared about it. It took me a while to actually beat the main story, and I have no desire to finish the rest of it. The first game was much better.
I finished this the day before yesterday. It was ok, more of the same imo. Once again the end of the game just sort of crept up on me. For someone like me, that doesnt care about running around collecting all the extra stuff, this game is very short.
The riddler challenges are many. Its like you must read a guide to find out where all of them are. Seems too overwhelming to me, I’m not much of a collector but this game has made me want to collect as many as I can even though I haven’t yet, still missing a few riddler trophies. I beat the game with Batman and catwoman on NG+ and all the challenge maps. The sneak challenges seem incredibly hard for Catwoman, that was rough. I love this game though, one of the best games I’ve ever played.
By the way, is it worth it to buy Nightwing and Robin? It just doesn’t seem worth it to me unless I could play them in the story mode.
Honestly, I just let the fanboy in me take over when I bought Robin and I had some cash over after buying EX Kyo/Mr. Karate for KOF(fanboy running rampant again) so I said “Why not” and bought Nightwing. You can only use Robin and Nightwing in story mode if you’re on PC by hacking it or something. Unless you really enjoy playing the challenge maps, I would say don’t buy them. I mean I have fun playing them and I just ended up liking the maps. I don’t regret it really but I wouldn’t truly recommend buying them unless you’re that much of a fanboy/have an obsession about collecting/enjoy the challenge maps that much. Not to mention they’re 7 bucks a pop. Their own maps aren’t really that great since I prefer Iceberg Lounge, Joker’s Carnival, and Funhouse Brawl a lot more. The only purchase I regret is the costume pack because honestly the Arkham suit looks the best in this game. Kinda like how AC Robin is the only Robin I think looks like a damn boss.
