Catwoman isn’t DLC unless that has changed.
Every game has planned DLC before launch and money whoring, we have nobody to blame but ourselves since we bought all that crap, just how it’s going to be. I’m with Geese Pants though, I usually buy my titles new since I have the money/luxury to do so and am quite impatient.
Probably pay this off this weekend. Can’t wait for Bat Week (Arkham City, Batman Year One, Batman #2 and Nightwing #2 in one week? Yes please).
They just announced it as DLC. From what I’ve read, you get the option option to download Catwoman at the main menu. Skip it and you’ll skip her missions throughout the game, so it’s better to download and integrate her missions from the start. From the reviews I’ve read, it’s four missions that supplement the story, but the game is not lacking without it. I can understand people making a stand against games with launch DLC, but not in this case.
Anyway, a leaked Gamestop memo says their used copies will come with the DLC code. Then again, that’s not saying much since their used game prices are already high.

I can’t agree with that statement. 3-Dot Game Heroes, Mad World, TF2 didn’t have DLC. Well if you count free patches with TF2 then I guess so. Since this Catwoman thing is looking true and it sounds shady as hell considering they were advertising her like she wasn’t disc locked content up until now I might not buy the game new and wait til the price drops significantly and get Catwoman by game sharing means.
Even if you wait until it drops in price, as long as you buy it new…you’ll get a Catwoman Code in the case.
I’m pretty sure it’s a one time download to counter sharing.
So if someone deleted it off of their PSN account or got a new PS3 they would have to buy another one?
Why does it matter. Also 3D Hero and Madworld sold like crap why would they get DLC, TF2 is free now and you can buy stuff from their stores, I.E. DLC.
Reviews are good, but not as good as Arkham Asylum. Hrm, I need to read more to get some understanding.
It matters because if it’s not true then there’s a way of getting around it without buying it new or paying for that separate character purchase fee of $10
It wasn’t a true ending tho because it was just as cliffhanger as the regular. It was just typical DLC add on. In fact it ruined the really awesome cliff hanger ending the game already had. To bad they wont ever return that game.
WTF are you guys talking about?
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
Only 4 more days. Cant. Fucking. Wait.
Guys holding out and not buying this game isn’t going to change this new business model. They’re going to continue to lock off content for used games and people like me that gamefly EVERYTHING, and it’s not stopping any time soon. I didn’t expect them to start cutting out single player story mode content so quickly, but now that this game has done it, expect more high profile titles to do the same. That theory about them forcing you to pay for the endings? I would expect to see that by next year at the latest.
I’m probably the only one who really wants that dark knight returns skin
i really want it too
TAS skin for me
I was playing this on my buddies modded xbox earlier. I can’t WAIT
it’s pretty badass, but I still ended up being in X-Ray vision mode most of the time
I want DKR and Beyond. Oh and Year One. So boss.
I’m tempted to buy it used just to tell WB to go fuck themselves.
I know this game comes out the 18th but for some reason Best Buy is showing the collectors edition as available now. Anyone somehow get it today?

I tried clicking through on that link and it wouldn’t let me.
If enough people don’t buy it and they do research to find out why which wouldn’t take long, a person with some sense would to change their model. Also with the DLC stuff in general in regards to every studio has it planned I already explained how that can be false, but even with the ones that do there is a way to handle it like with the good people at Reverge Labs for example. They’re trying to put as much content as they can into their game until the game ships and will later put in content that they didn’t have time for before as DLC. They also take the time to talk with their fans and the outcome of both the game and DLC changes depending on that. That’s the way to do it.
