Firstly if im gonna do a ranbat thing there has to be a semi sweet prize at the end of the ranbats. My idea was me , you, and Tony front a total of 100 dollars to the Ranbat winner. Also to make it more so I would not be eligible for the Ranbat prize making that better for others if they are wooried they will not have a chance at winning to grand prize. I would still enter the ranbat to wreck some shit :looney:.
I dont care about the money as I want people to play more competitively and an extra hundred at the end would seem sweet to me specially for the new guys and some of you guys that have been playin for a while. Not this dollar shit either. Who seriously plays if theres only a dollar on the line. If theres nothing on the line then theres nothing to push you, Ive said it a million times. If im gonna put forth the effort to get this thing rolling then its gonna be for at least a 5$ buy in and the pot will be split 70/20/10. Im not tired of throwing tournaments, just tired of trying to get people to show, its so frustrating specially when I have guests come from out of town to not know if people will even show. At least have that respect for them. Come on they drive over 100+miles and the least our people can do is drive 15 miutes and spend half a day with them ya know.
Im also tired of when people do show up and when its been a dollar people dont even want to enter. A buck like thats a lot to lose, hell no! I guess I take this game way more seriously than most . What can I say. I dont know any person that has dedicated more time and money to this CRACK:sad: addiction than myself.
So yeah if you guys want ranbats let me know so we can step up to the plate and get this shit started, Im all for competitive play. And this will be an open event to anyone.

either way, i get what MET is sayin, about giving people motivation to play. im now at the point where i dont need a bribe to play, i wanna get better, so ima play whenever. i think the bros would show up… considering how grateful they are that we “let” them play with us. but ya, an insentive idea would be kool, like a pot at the end, on top of the tourney money. lets do what we gotta do, but i think if we have any more tournies… this dollar crap has gotta stop, especially with only a handful of people showin up. and even more so if we got people from outta town showin up, either from LA, or salinas or wherever… we should have a bit more motivation for em aside from a 5-10 dollar pot.
hell, if i had it my way, we would get kelly and his crew, and clockw0rk and his crew down every weekend, but not gunna happen. oh, and where is chris shmizzle at? i think we should do SOMETHING soon, whether its ranbat whatevers or just a solid tourny… with enough incentive to get clockw0rk and them, clock jr and them, kelly and his, and whoever else to show. i personally, (to get everyone together for all day play, and a tournamnt), would vouch for even a $10 buy in. hell, ill contribute to other rewards ASIDE from the pot also… cause i know people:wink: i dunno, maybe an ipod nano for 1st place… u know, something like that. or maybe to give the outta towners some incentive… Bako provides some foods… i dunno, just thinkin out loud here.

You shouldn’t have to put an extra prize or money for first place just so you can get people to play, cuz if people want to play, they’ll play. It’s like you’re going out of your way just to get more people to play. I understand that not that many people are motivated to play, but what can you do? When I lived in bako, it was the same. I was wondering where all the competition was at. After I went to Jason’s famous garage tourny, I got a wakeup call saying you need to play WAY FUCKING more after i got hella beasted on by Salinas crew and busdriver. I know there’s people there that have what it takes to be a good player, but they don’t play smart, have no strategy, have shitty execution, aren’t up to date (Joe), or aren’t motivated. I also think people get discouraged cuz you and busdriver probably put them to work bad. It’s times like that you can’t stop playing and need to keep playing to get better. Jason used to beast on me bad when I first started going to his pad, but those beastings made me crave to get even better. I’ll even go as far as saying Deep, Derrick, Nick, and most of bako were better than me at Marvel until I started going to busdriver’s pad for crack sessions. I hope this motivates more people to get better in bako. I would not be where I am skillwise in marvel if it wasn’t for busdriver, his pad, and those mad marvel sessions. :bgrin: And if Joe kept beating me, I would definitely want to get better (you guys know who you are

I think you guys should have ranbats just for bako heads so more people can feel confident when out of towners come (plus who would drive to bako every/ every other week for ranbats?). And when out of towners do come, you should have it 5 bux minimum for a tourny.

Can some one saying fucking WORD. And also these people should know that Im down for hella crack sessions if the games are intenese, not just laid back wack parties. The last night T-Lo, Dirty Irish , and myself played I was down to keep going but some of us had prior obligations. If it was like that all the time then we would be way better. but then again who am I to say how marvel is supposed to be played to everyone else. This is just my opinions and thoughts Peace out.
ill AMEN to that… although im all for the kick backs, we were getting down that night. i think we were all on pretty well. one of these upcoming days when im NOT workin 20 hours… we’ll have to do that again, i think it helped that Notre Dame (fighting irish aka dirty irish aka prick aka he likes guys) didnt have a blood-alcohol level of %15. that was good stuff all around.
BTW Met, i just ordered a 2gb card for my camera, so all i gotta do is see how i wanna setup the cam when we play. should be good for a few hours or so.
