I dont like the fact that a shit player can get a lucky hit and do 3 button presses that takes 2 minutes to practice and potentially win. Whereas, i had to spend a lot of practice time to get the same type of damage with (insert character here) combo.

My beef is, a shitty scrub who doesnt put in work can get some wins vs a person who has to put in time to learn their characters.

Bottom line, imo, it only cripples the scrubs that are “fake” good. Good players can still dominate with him. Just no more lazy sloppy defense. Stamina isn’t as big of a deal in this game except for like 3 characters.

I agree with you scott… but sentinel does have the biggest fuckin hitbox in mahvel… and he is the slowest character in the game (if it werent for arthur) so if yer gunna nerf his health (that much) give him something in return (shit… give him Phx health for all I care. Just give him back super armor)… Hulk and other heavy hitters have similar nerfable traits but they remain the same. I think its all the leftover sodium from 2.

If your going to make the game ‘Less scrub friendly’ well i guess we should nerf everything (gObLyN edit). You see where im going with this? Just because you dont like sent because you feel its ‘too easy’ doesnt justify a nerf, all that means is you have a problem with that character and need to work on punishing his slow ass moves and huge hitbox. The problem wasnt one character being ‘easy’ to land damage the problem is this game is NOT a street fighter, its marvel which means its full of bs and tricks and its about who has the better tricks and who can stay away from the opponents. Oh and who remembers back in MvC2 when ICEMAN was BROKEN! lol I think we are a little to quick to judge.

This is a stupid argument and I will never win against so many ‘anti’ sentinels, good players will always stand ahead of the bad players even if they use sentinel

I don’t really think anyone is wrong. Every side has valid points. My opinion is that, even with his damage nerf, he is still going to be incredibly effective as long as xfactor is involved.

It’s not just non sentinel players rejoicing. Some sentinel players are rejoicing too.

To me, I feel, if I had to be scared to face a scrub using sentinel or a scrub using anyone else, id be more scared of a scrub using sentinel. I only view this whole thing when its in the hands of a scrub. That’s just my personal opinion and the feeling I get when I play the game.

That’s like saying “you’d be more scared of gettin assaulted by a bum/scrub with a gun/sentinel over a bum/scrub with a knife/ryu.” I mean, yeah the attack is highly in their favor because of priorities… but it’s a bum/scrub. And he is lacking experience how he lacks food, weak n hungry but overall hella weak. just be careful =D

but if you consider Xfactor, everyone is incredibly effective… and yeah I’m kinda glad people are now falling off the sentinel bandwagon… gunna be alot easier to catch people off guard with new dumb shit… and the scrubs that remain are just fodder (like mvc2 sentinel scrubs!!)

but there is right and wrong… CAPCOM was BEYOND fuckin wrong to patch/nerf the game so early on. Imma buy another xbox n never connect it to the internet to remain true to the game without dlc’s and patches =D

Not a big deal to me about the sent nerf. ** Now all the sents I play against won’t have to watch me rape them as long and when I play sent myself people will lose just as quickly because I don’t get hit anyways**.

is it just me, or does sentinel’s red life recover faster when tagged out now?

yep… cause:

he has less life so it will recover faster. its the same life regen rate its just that the bar is now representing a smaller number so it appears to be faster, at least thats what I think.

im pretty sure sentinel is faster than hsienko, he also has more mobility options than a few characters. hsienko does no damage, has no real mobility, has low health worthless ground dash. only real redeeming quality is gold armor. but it comes at a risk. and im fine with it. yeah he has a big hit box, but he also has hyper armor on s.S to blow through almost anything that leads to death. pretty nice tradeoff i think

i should mention again, that my main problem was sent with xfactor which really puts me in the fix xfactor camp. i never agreed with the patch, but at the same time, this nerf doesnt affect too much since i dont think health is a big factor. the only difference is you can only make one less mistake. it nerfs the scrubs more than anything.

i think its a temporary fix for a real update just to get the scrubs to shutup and stop whining, IMO. i dont see it sticking

Sent is a god damn robot with great priority, great supers, GREAT (understatement) damage, a GREAT assist, a great cmd grab, and now you can finally kill him with less than 4 supers during him assisting. Good job capcom this isn’t mvc2 let him be the super god there, and him be pretty damn good in MvC3. Plus I bet none of us play or have played a GOOD sent.
