CentralScrutinize im not planning on going but I wouldnt worry about borrowing a stick, generally everyone is cool with it as long as you dont abuse it and break say a button and not tell anyone about it…
Once 3sOE comes out I would think most of the players will play online since its using GGPO netcode and if used correctly that netcode is amazing, but if its ass im sure there will be small gatherings at the least.
Answer: yes. The devastation team also has sticks to use, but they also encourage to byoc. Don’t let that be the reason to stop you from going to lanspeed games. Players are generous to lend you a stick.

How is a best of 7 any better than the already existing best of 3? If I beat you 2-0 in winner’s and you beat me 4-3 in loser’s, I’m still up on you 5-4 overall.

Hey Arizona Mortal Kombat players, we will be hosting our second Mortal Kombat tournament at ManaWerx tonight Wednesday (June 15th) at 8pm. The cost to enter will be $5.00, and after the tournament is over there is no problem with just sticking around to play casuals.

Tournament rules will be your standard best 2/3, double elimination with winners/losers/grand finals being best 3/5.

The way SC tournaments do it is that it becomes a best of 7 that continues from the best of 3 that was played in winners bracket. So the player that won the first encounter starts the best of seven series with two wins.
