You guys are acting as if Haz is the only stream in AZ, which is why I mentioned it. There’s been no mention of any other streams at all, only concern about how Haz would get his gear to whatever venue. You can still run a hAZmat stream without Haz’s gear.
And the comparison between DEV and Haz is a very good one. It’s not like DEV only runs a single major and that’s all we do. There are huge misconceptions about how DEV runs. It’s very similar to the debate going on about the venue/stream/equipment with Haz. It’s not easy to replace any of the equipment used at DEV events, majors or local events.
I don’t really care who “gives a fuck” about my opinion on the stream. I don’t give a fuck about your opinion on Soul Calibur, but that doesn’t stop you from sharing it.
I only mentioned DEV because Armando brought up the fact that none of you haul around all that gear. That’s not the case, because there are other people in the community that have hauled around much more than what Haz would have to haul. It was directly relevant to what I quoted.
It’s funny because I actually toned down my post from what I originally wanted to say because of the ignorant responses I knew I would get. I’m not surprised in the least that I still got the ignorant responses I was actually trying to avoid. It goes hand and hand with the AZ SRK community (or at least the vocal members of it).

Interesting how the issues started with just Haz and Arnul, yet a bunch of other people have commented. Why didn’t you claim they didn’t need to jump in? Not to mention all of the trolls that inhabit this thread and comment about stuff that’s none of their concern on a regular basis.
There’s a good reason why he doesn’t come around. It’s very similar to the reason why I avoid AZ SRK events. The vocal members of the community (you included) are severely lacking when it comes to being nice/welcoming to certain outsiders.
I also find it really funny that people text me and talk to me in person about how they think exactly like I do. Funny that they agree with me, yet don’t bother to post here and make that agreement public.

Also, to add to my previous post. Just because I don’t think Haz’s stream is the “best” in AZ does not mean my opinion on it is suddenly negative. I do like certain aspects of the stream, I just don’t think it’s the best stream.

It’s been awhile since we’ve had one of these episodes. Every time there’s a falling out between (usually) 2 people, everyone else seems to want to jump in and bring their own problems into it. Shit’s always been entertaining, but I’m concerned that with an imminent explosion of growth in our community (SFxT release), we might want to clean up our image a bit more and keep our shit off of the public forum, for fear of scaring away the newcomers.
Rick: I’m in favor of dropping SFIV for the next season. Regardless of where this venue issue takes us, time will always be an issue. I think it’d be a good idea to have it on a setup or two or even a side tournament, but as far as timing goes with the stream, it’ll be difficult to fit it in without turning the event into a 12-hour commitment. In fact, I recommend we run SFxT as 2v2 only for the first season so we can gauge how long it’ll actually take to run the tournament, as well as making it easier on the newer players since they only have to practice one character if they choose to do so.
Ray, I wasnt actually suggesting those as real terms, merely suggesting a platform to possibly resolve the issue. I just used that as an example. My point being that it needs to be resolved.
