Lol at ex tatsu. Been changing up playstyles dramatically everytime I play. Trying to get more versatile and resurrecting some old strats that I abandoned back in vanilla. Last night, I was a “just keep moving forward and footsie with s.short xxx ex tatsu” style lol. Style is a little more meter dependent, but its annoying and gets Good payoff. It’s worth doing more now since the ex connects consistently with the whole cast now.

@ Punker - Good sets, even though that Guile vs Deejay match is soooooooooo lame it’s still a fun set to me. I have to admit, both of the times where you tried to chip me out w/ super xx ultra and it timed out, I started giggling like a little school girl!
I saw one instance of the super xx ultra and it took me awhile to figure out that Nick hadn’t broken the game.
As much as I’d like to blame online lag, I don’t think I teched a single throw that night. Granted it was my first time playing in like three weeks, but holy shit my game degenerated.
Also, I’ve determined that my frustration with Dee Jay is not because of Dee Jay, it’s because of Punker’s Dee Jay. I can’t get you to hit any buttons on me, fuck that defense. Stop being a bitch and crouch tech more so I can hit you!
Haha thanks for the compliment Jon. I’ve been trying to be more patient on defense and not stand or hit buttons as much as before. Still need work, but its something. Also I hope everyone enjoyed kicking my day one Cody’s ass; he’s a fun character with great normals but sadly I’ll probably never live up to his potential with all the hit confirms off meaties and such. I’ll still practice with him tho.

In all seriousness, when I was playing against you, you didn’t exhibit any of the habits you used to. Like, I used to always wait you out until you did a light tatsu that put me in jab range so I could get a chance to push back in that pressure game. More recently you started uppercutting me since I had a habit of always trying to seize the moment to take control, but this time you bullied with the LK instead. That liberal use of the LK really changed up the match and I couldn’t adapt to it at all.
That, and I’ve always had a hard time tick throwing you because of her wonky crouching hitbox, my jabs push Sakura back farther than normal characters. So I’d eat c.LKs into uppercuts all day, to the point where my abstaining from tick throws has actually bled into the other matchups where they would normally work. I need to work them more into my game in order to make my frame traps effective.
Also, Marcus, pick Cammy. It might give you a new perspective when playing a more offensive character.
I was also hoping for some games tonight. othrwise i might get on xbl
