arguing hulk and thors strength is pretty point less since they both have done almost the impossible at some point in there time span. And they both have been stopped randomly by being beat up.
If you just go off what the bases of there ability is hulk should win out over most bricks, but since thor uses magic he’d win. magic> explanations.

Capt is impressive but in the end, he’s only human and peak human abilities are still ant-like compared to the majority. Pure battle strategy & mindgames can only go so far.
The comics puff him up to be bigger though, but realistically every fight against a non-human should be a major up-hill battle. I’m talking Dan/servbot/roll(with their worst assists picked) against Cable/Sent/Storm(equipped with infinite meter).
And that wittle shield can only cover so much body area from harm. Bad when stark has weapons that can wreck havoc over a wide area all at once. Shield won’t protect him.

Anyway, I wouldn’t doubt it; it IS Marvel and anyone is capable of beating anybody depending on what plot device the writer comes up with.
Without it, we wouldn’t have such “believable” outcomes like Spiderman beating Firelord or Wolverine… well Logan is a walking deus ex machina.

Power Wise, outside of the Hulk, the Warbound was outclassed. Hell, Iron Fist took out one of the guys when him, Ronin, and Echo was protecting Doctor Strange.

Early to mid 90’s. Someone lies to Hulk blaming an earlier event on stark, and when he goes rampaging towards stark tower or whatever, IM busts out his hulkbuster armor before he can wreck HQ.
Fairly short fight where IM basically kicks his ass and holds him at bay, long enough to where Hulk’s tantrum had subsided, and is ready to talk things out.
Ends with Hulk walking away empty-handed before he got to smash anything, sadly.

I recently read the Straczynski run of Thor, and was blown away. How do these other runs stack up???
LOL. You mean how Hulk didn’t kill Sentry, after RUNNING THROUGH the Fantastic Four, EVERY REMAINING MUTANT (even breaking Colossus’ arm), Iron Man in Hulk Buster armor, and virtually every other mother fucking hero known to existence, after conquering a planet and having it blown up.
Thor is only beast with Odinpower. Even then he isn’t Hulk. Hulk punches fucking planets to death. Beyonder clearly states that Hulk’s anger, and thus power, have NO limits. It’s not even a laughable contest. Thor can uppercut him away or some shit, but you’d best believe if Hulk wants to crush Thor, he would. Hulk could likely one punch most of Marvel to death due to his OP anger. Fully raged Hulk = prep time batman wearing a yellow lantern ring + fully charged Superman wearing a green lantern ring. Seriously, it’s not even funny how unstoppable Hulk is when something makes him that mad. He mopped the floor with Dr Zom Strange. He destroys EVERY X-Man, and shrugs off Xavier’s AND Emma Frosts telepathy, and whups the living shit out of a fully Cytorak powered Juggernaut, while cracking jokes the entire time. Hulk can literally solve any problem by hitting it hard enough. I am 1000% shocked and amazed he hasn’t punched reality like Superboy Prime yet. They could do an issue, where he gets mad at TOAA or Eternity or Living Tribunal, and he would punch them in the face and knock them out, and it would be believable. Sure, LOTS of characters manage to find ways to ‘defeat’ him, doesn’t mean they’re stronger overall than him. Hulk is the living embodiment of bludgeoning something to death with your bare hands.
Thor likes to throw around his classic comment about holding back when he hits the Hulk, but don’t kid yourself. Hitting Hulk harder would just get him more mad. You could reduce him to a skeleton, and his skelton would continue to fight you and knock you silly, until a point where he grows back to continue stomping you to death. Which he has done.
You could argue Thanos being stronger than Hulk. Stonger than Thor, for sure. Thor needed a lot of crazy powerful objects to even deal with Thanos, and even then it was just a temporary thing. I am pretty sure Thanos has stated one on one with the Hulk is a fight he’s avoided. Unprepared, Hulk would likely destroy him. But Thanos is a fucker who’s gone 1 on 1 with Galactus and lived (and bounced his ass across a planet), and that’s saying something.
And LOL @ Tony vs Thor/Asgard. Fear Itself, Odin gives him a peek at what it’s like to be a true God, and Tony shits in his suit like a baby. Or how about when Thor comes back and reminds Tony not to make clones of him. By one shotting Tony, and almost murdering his ass. BIIIIIIG difference between Thor when he feels like actually being the God of Thunder, and a dude in a suit of armor. WWH Hulk took out Tony in Hulkbuster in the blink of an eye. I’d like to think Thor would at least have lasted a few more seconds. I was really disappointed there wasn’t a WWH Hulk vs Odinforce Thor fight.
Big difference still, between Hulk being pissed, or a full blown rage monster. Yet again, Stark KNEW in WWH that there was no stopping Hulk. His gameplan was to DESTROY NYC and send it to the Negative Zone. And hope Hulk went along with it. If Hulk wants you dead, you are dead. Usually via a smashing.

I really love Jurgen’s writing (moreso than his art: he draws like a second rate Byrne clone IMO). He writes really simple, yet grand and epic stories. Combine that with JRJr and you have me on board.
