Avatar: The Legend of Korra - Book 4

The finale was epic. This series went out in true style, and although most of season 3 was filler, it was all worth it because the season finale was incredible. I love this show and I am really glad they are ending on such a high note.

^ What he said… btw the white lotus masters are broke:looney:

and Kyuubi/Unicron Aang was awesome!

Two Thousand Thumbs Up

(^ I also thought of Kyuubi even though I’ve stopped reading Naruto completely.)

That was fucking AWESOME.

I’m so very glad that I had my mother record this for me last night while I was at work.

I just finished watching it at 9:00 A.M.

There’s really nothing else that hasn’t been said already, so I’ll go into my usual multi-quote long-windedness.

Answers for Rhetorical Questions

[details=Spoiler]- Azula cheapshot him from behind before he fully powered up to Avatar form.

  • Killing Azula wouldn’t have solved anything, and this isn’t just to say that as a fan of hers.[/details]

If he does, then he’s really going to see dead people.

This one of the things I most happy about. If it wasn’t for that beach episode (the fourth episode of Chapter 3), I might agreed with Nairdas that it seemed somewhat rushed.

But her actually breaking down is way more believable than something like Itachi’s loss or Zuko suddenly being strong enough to beat her by himself. (I find it funny that only reason he accepted was because he noticed she was a little “off” and then he STILL got fucked up. Heh.)

Odin, I love Azula.

It’s not that broken. It takes some time, the Avatar state, AND it can backfire.

Corrupted Avatar = Mind-bogglingly bad. :looney:

Meh. Like I said above, I actually prefered that power-level-wise, no really got noticably stronger outside of Aang.

(Yes, yes, Katara and Toph but I’m talking about when it comes to suddenly beating people they “shouldn’t”.)

The Avatar was always stronger than Ozai, especially since the Avatar would also benefit from the comet once he learned to fire-bend.

It’s not just you.

I honestly think that if it wasn’t for Mei being established as liking him way earlier in the series (when she was first introduced?) and then as his girlfriend in Book 3, I think that Zuko might have honestly pursued Katara (more).

It’s nice to see a show show the complexity of human relationships and so-called “monogamy” without having to resort to the characters constantly sleeping with one another and then getting upset about it.

coughFriendscough

Like Hatred Edge said, it’s going to be a long process.

Let’s hope it gives them an excuse to an excellent Book of Air, especially if the movies turn out to be shitty.

Interesting questions, especially with the type-shifted thing since we never learned what would happen if people from two different bending-nations got together.

…I suppose that’s all the more reason to time jump with Katara and Aang.

I’d  if Aang upset the balance of the world just by having a kid or two with Katara.

Roku: “Here is my advice: You shouldn’t have fucked her!” flames shoot up dramatically like in the play

“Enhancement”-wise, I don’t really see happening unless you mean like permanent Ozai’s Comet status. The secondary-types aren’t really “enhancements” so much as different types of manipulation, which means they can only really be achieved through knowledge/enlightenment. I don’t think the Avatar would causally dole that out, at least by forcing into/onto someone.

Speaking of secondary types, we never learned what Air’s secondary was. I still say it’s sound-bending.

CHEERS TO A GREAT ENDING TO ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS EVER!

I can’t believe it’s over…and it even had the typical “guy gets girl in the end” ending.

Knew the Avatar state would come back, but I just didn’t know how…who would have thought a rock to the scar would re-trigger it…

Fuckin good show though, great story and I usually love shows that’ll bring back all the old characters to fight the final boss/army.

it was good and all, considering this book was kinda disappointing. at least the finale went out good, the action was pretty good for an american (> marvel/dc) cartoon actually. also, will we be getting a new short series or movie? i think a movie could be possible, considering its the best way to cash in extra dough with the benders looking for zuzu’s momma.

Actually him being able to match and beat her does make sense. I remember a while back they said shame blocks the fire chakra which he got rid of. She only fucked him up through foul play anyway, he was in the process of schooling her before she did a Haku type move.

itachi gave up, he didn’t lose. he killed himself and gave up his shit. giving his powers (at least some of it) to naruto and sasuke.

deit
: then again, he was taking meds just to keep himself alive. so either way i don’t think he had a lot of time left, think he was nearing his end. if he just choose to take sausygays eyes…

yo so why does it say “the end”

dont we still have book 4

they alreayd did water, earth, and fire, now it is air’s turn

remember the previous avatar say that the air benders achieved spiritual enlgihtenment, maybe that means they didn’t die they just acedneded or something like buddha

plus zuko’s mom

also, lol @ how katara didn’t even need to use blood bending to win.

naw, “Affliction: Banned” was the name of the event

I was rewatching some of the old episodes today and Aang was looking at a scroll that had that turtle lion thing on it in the library. This show has awesome continuity btw.

I like the last episodes and all, but it WAS a little weird how Aang was able to reach the avatar state again. I’d buy the Lionturtle/previous avatar/some guru telling him he can, but a rock hitting his scar? And does that mean he can control the avatar state? I guess nobody can truly answer this question since there won’t be anymore episodes…

What chapter/volume was this?

So in a nutshell can anyone tell me what happened?

Final Fights. What happened with Aang, Zuko, Kataara, and the rest of the gang.

Zuko get owned again in a fight?

the firelord and his air force attack boston city
ang is waiting for him

comet comes and everyone fire bender is suped up

fire lord and avatar fight

sokka and suki and Tough take out the air fleet

azula becomes firelord and stays in the fire nation

zuko and katara go to defeat here, initially zuko fights her one on one and is kinda winning when azula attacks katara and zuko sacifices himself to save her, then katara takes care of azula

ang uses avatar powers ( i dont know if he went full avatar state, or he was just in a basic avatar level like when he merged with that water creature.

avatar wins

yadayadayada

oh, and zuko’s uncle and the white lotus members take over the boston city

here what i don’t get kataruu i think that her name should have blood bended if you guys remeber the episode where see’s taught water bending by that old lady who was actually a witch or something. Anyways she would have owned Zuko’s sister, but since it’s on Nick i guess why she didn’t do that.

And At the end when Zuko mets with his dad and ask where his mother is they left that blank just a thought

It’s been uploaded if you don’t feel like using torrents or whatever.

Was there a full moon?

I think this would come down to not playing all your cards. If they plan to have a movie or a sequel his mum not being found is a potential plot line.

Bloodbending only occurs on full moon status

The best part of the movie was the transformation of Azula. She finally let the pressure get to her once she became lord. Everything was supposed to be Perfect, considering she is Perfect, and the defiance from her Perfect ideals led to full-blown insanity. I was laughing that Katara busted out some Dio shit to take her down.

Sokka’s painting is awesome, “Why is Suki Firebending?”

Loved this series. Loved the finale.

things I liked about the finale

[details=Spoiler]

  • The fights (of course)
  • The way Aang finished the firelord without killing him
  • The happy ending (I’m a sucker for those)[/details]

things I didn’t like about the finale

[details=Spoiler]

  • When Aang goes into the Avatar state, the fight becomes a SSJBroli vs Vegetaesque cakewalk. Too damn easy. I thought it would be a bit tougher since the Phoenix King had the power boost of the comet but it didn’t seem to do anything but make him run away from Aang. All of a sudden Aang has “the memory of all the avatars before him”? hmph.[/details]

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

Great series though. Loved it even with the filler eps.

Yeah, the cheesy last scene in the ending was kinda lame, but other than that I liked it. I don’t mind happy endings at all.
