haven’t watch it yet, but soon.

Legend of Korra Says Goodbye to Fans at Its Last Comic Con

That Kill Bill reference lol

Episode 2

Spoiler

Very solid episode overall , kinda sad to see this see Korra this vanquished. Since the show started , she pretty much has been face first into everything , always motivated and unwavered. Seeing her in this desperate , defeated stance makes me sad a little bit, but I feel that it adds to her character in the sense that it shows us that she isn’t invincible. Can’t wait to see how she gets back on her feet in the future episodes and how Toph contributes to all of this.

“wiggle your big toe.” Also Zombie Liu Kang called and wants his chains back!

Zombie Liu Kang wishes he had those chain moves like Korra.

Pretty cool episode. I wish they hadn’t straight up put the ending of it in the trailer for the season, but whatever. It’s being done really well so far, and I still think that having Korra’s conflict be that she’s helped to create a world where she doesn’t feel that important anymore is very interesting. Makes for a great counterpoint to Aang’s conflict of the world needing him more than he could deal with for a while.

Ep 2 ending hit me with dat nostalgia

lol toph bout to become yoda.

So Korra has met all of Aang’s masters except Gyatso

Finally saw it. Gotta say that this is probably one of the best episodes of the entire series and of course, one of the saddest.

That said, kudos for the Kill Bill and Star Wars shout outs.

[details=Spoiler]Moving the big toe.

Fighting with her illusionary dark self in a mystical swamp ala Luke and Vader in Dagobah and then meeting a cooky old hermit, except it’s Toph and not Yoda.[/details]

EDIT: Rewatched “The Avatar and the Firelord”, that scene at the end gets so much more feels now.

[details=Spoiler]

Yes they can Toph![/details]

Nice, I had forgotten about that. You need to do something about those subtitles though.

If Korra does somehow contact Gyatso, he’ll have helped to train three Avatars. That’s some MVP stuff.

but really, what happened to Toph? She went from that tall rigid woman to a cave hobbit.

People can get shorter with age depending on how much the cartilage in between their bones holds up or deteriorates.

As for living like she does, she probably got fed up with structured society. She was never really one for rules and order anyway.

Saw this on Io9.

EDIT:

Mako x scarf is best ship.

Thats the only shipping I’ll accept

Then why the fuck was she a Police Chef?

Great episode. Seeing Korra broken and defeated is rather heartbreaking. I would have liked to have seen her crew at least visit her while she was in the South Pole.

Probably because Aang asked her to do it. That, and she most likely enjoyed getting to boss people around.

From a creators standpoint, they probably did it because a) it allowed them to show how much she’d grown up and/or changed and b) this kind of ironic situation is great story fodder.

Korrasami’s getting stronger - note how Korra only replied back to Asami and not Bolin and Mako (of course it’s because I assume Asami would be able to relate better). :coffee:

I hope Toph gets to see her daughters and Opal - it would be nice for her and her granddaughter to meet.

LOL the prince is like kuzco from the emperors groove

i for one welcome korra’s anime training arc.
