was a councilman for the city so he must have contributed a lot to the city. He had his own statue too. We’ll probably find out this season

I heard about this awhile ago which would explain why things feel a litre"thrown together at the last minute."
Cool, so it will be a new villain. And hey, they are aware of korrasami.

So I was going back through this season trying to look for stuff that may hint at stuff in the next season (Korra metalbending, Kuvira, Varrick’s magnet suit) when I came across something that may hint at something from the first season.
When Lin is at the acupuncturist, he says that her chi is “powerfully blocked” which got me thinking; what does chi getting blocked usually do - stop people from bending. Now, what else prevents people from bending? Whatever it is Amon does with Bloodbending. So with this, I wonder then if this is a hint that what Amon was doing has something to do with blocking a person’s chi from within. By doing whatever he does with Bloodbending, Amon must be blocking his victim’s chi on a more permanent basis from within (or more precisely, severing the chi pathways). This should also explain why Katara couldn’t reverse it, she would need a full moon to be able to do so, that is if the blockage can even be reversed. As for Lin, certain things about her temperament may mean that, even after Korra restored her bending (possibly be creating new chi pathways) she could still have some residual damage to them.
The creators already revealed this. In the blu ray commentaries of season 1 they did say that Amon used bloodbending to block benders chi paths. Basically it’s the opposite of water benders healing. When water benders heal, they use water as a catalysts to help chi flow better and more freely, which facilitates and quickens the healing process. Amon does the opposite. He used water to block those paths.

Decided to rewatch the premiere of Book 1 just so I could see a happier Korra. Rewatching Book 3 just seems to emphasized how much more weary Korra seems in that season. Going back, it hard not to miss the bright eyed girl from those earlier episodes. Almost brought a tear to my eye.

Things the next season owes me:
- Tahno (Wolfbat pro-bender guy) coming back
- The spirits having some relevance.
- A new character taking the mantle of the Blue Spirit.
- Toph returns.
- See Sokka’s sons, or something like that.
- Zuko doing something next season.
- See Iroh Jr. again.
- Asami building an Iron Woman suit.
- Ki-based energy bending. I want to see a martial artist who shoots HADOOUUUKEN!!
The moment they randomly introduced that girl who saved Korra’s father, I guessed she’s really Red Lotus…I fully expect her to play into the villainy next season.
It’s my first time sticking my head in this thread, just had to vent how terrific the series has been. They transitioned from a 12 year old to a 16ish year old - pretty seamlessly.
I’ve got to be honest though, with Fire having lightning, and earth having metal and now lava…I’ll say water has healing and ice, but ‘flying’ for air, just isn’t enough. I can’t like though, when Zaheer started flying I thought “He’s doing his superman thing again” [/Matrix]

So all of a sudden people forgot they shitted on her Book 1 self and miss it?

I hope the Red Lotus won’t be the main enemy in the next season. I’d like the new enemy to enter Zaheer’s jail and kill him easily.
I think the Dark Avatar would be a good idea to continue the mythology, just say he was reborn and now he has a cycle just like the Avatar.
Ice isn’t a specialize skill. It’s apart of regular waterbending. Any waterbending scrub could turn water into ice.

Nah fuck that DBZ shit where old villains who destroyed planets can get bodied by a fly.
Man the feels after that finale.
Don’t worry Korra, Dean Winchester knows what you’re going through…

Yeah but as you saw with Zaheer, Air can easily become the deadliest element even without any specialized tricks.
But how much of that was really “This guy was ‘scary’ without powers, and now powers make him ridiculous”? He was just an out right better fighter than pretty much anyone else we’ve seen, add in the experience of his from fighting benders WITHOUT power and its hard to use him (IMO) as a gauge for what you can do with air - compared to the other elements. He’d be just as broken if he got fire or water or earth.
Maybe if air lead to some speed force shit or something.
Next avatar is supposed to be earth right? They could make a play for their existence via the fall of the earrth kingdom…though we did just go through an avatar who had trouble with air.
