Avatar: The Legend of Korra - Book 4

In some cases. It’s an odd relationship.

Air can feed and fuel fire just as much as it can disperse and snuff it out.

In most cases though, Fire will win.

Korra was really dislikable in these first two episodes. And I loved her all along during the first season…

The quest for the Northern lights was dull and stupid, she basically went there and pushed a button. There was no reveal, no message, no communication with the spirits, no scripture, nothing. Felt like a video game.

I don’t have high hopes for this new season…

I hope airbending’s seconday style is vacuum-bending. I wanna see suckas get choked out.

Airbenders should techically be able to control all types of Gas, not just the mix in air.

I’m lookin at a story bout balance and feelings like one piece lol

season premiere flopped…wtf tumblr girls. how are you failing so hard?

After all this negativity on korra my hype for the show is officially ruined.

In some ways I say its well deserved though…TLA is a one of a kind series that raised the bar for animated shows much like batman TAS did before it. I think the 2nd series should have been focused on the adventures of adult aang in the same vein as DB/DBZ in terms of progressing through his life time. The 3rd series could have focused on the life and adventures of a teenage tenzin and Lin with korra acting as a OVA mini series that rounds off the series…at least until they want to milk the franchise again.

By skipping so forward into the future they betrayed the existing fan base and missed out on a golden opportunity.

They didn’t focus on Adult Aang because it’s literally too free.

A never before seen, midday, no Full Moon Bloodbender couldn’t fucking hang with Aang.

If that couldn’t touch him, where would all the tension go? They can’t bring in something more powerful than a Fully Realized Avatar, that ruins the premise of the entire series.

I don’t let other people ruin anything for me. If it did shippers alone would make me hate the franchise as a whole.

Yeah, at the end of The Last Airbender, Aang was broke as fuck and was only twelve years old. He was already reaching Goku status then.

Imagine how gawdlike that man became as he got older… I can see it now-- everytime someone jumped up to get beat down-- What’s that? Ozai loyalists have a new, badass Firebending leader? WHAM! Spiritbent yo’ shit! Fuck your uprising! Natural disaster? BOOM! Avatar State! Take that, hurricane! That would be the most boring series ever…

Make it a slice of life adventure series like HxH that focuses on the drama of rebuilding a better world.

If DBZ could make a 200+ episode series with the weakest dude being 10 times stronger then a fully realized aang then I see no reason why avatar can’t do it.

I’d rather the series just outright end.

I’m more interested in the impact the characters left on the world than continued adventures. Read the comics if that’s what you want.

I’d rather see characters I’m emotionally invested in over the course of a expertly told story that ran the course of 3 seasons then a brand new cast that are about as appealing and dynamic as twilight fan fics…that’s just me though.

Then read the comics. You love comics. And ignore this.

I want a animated series with the adult versions mate.

Not sure why wanting a continuation is a problem…

I loved those characters too but their stories have been told. Avatar has a very rich world which I personally feel will be wasted they chose to focus it around them all the time. I want to learn more about the Spirit World, the past Avatars, going more in-depth with the origins of each bending style, different variety of styles and how far it can go. There is so far you can take Aang and his crew.

It’s not, really…you’re just not going to get one so no real reason to keep pinning for one. If you REALLY want to keep following those characters like you say you do then you’ll read the comics, and if not then drop the series and watch TLA again or something. Korra’s not gonna give you what you want since you’ve already decided you don’t like it.

Just the way it is man.

I disagree.

You see since the character are already explained you can focus exclusively on this world and the mythos behind it. From the perspective of aangs kids much like Gohan did in DBZ. I think the potential for the adult counterparts would have been a amazing opportunity…but skipping 100 years was a betrayal IMO.

It’s like going from DB to GT right away.
