Just a heads up: this is the last week for the arcades in tek republik. This means that after that there won’t be anything to play on for weeks. There may be a “testing period” but it will take a while. The grand opening of arcade ufo is projected to be near the end of july.
Well did they every fix the mvc2 machine and is it still 50 cents a play??

All I know is that a few machines are going to stay for a while longer during the moving process, probably 3s and AH2 the main sellers. The rest are going to be moved out, and I’m assuming that includes fixing mvc2. I’m only going by word of mouth though, so don’t take my word for it. I’m just keeping people posted here for now since I figured it would be helpful. I don’t know about the price in mvc2 though, probably gonna stay at 50 cents.
Minsta - people already know about the status quo of arcades, Ryan especially. ufo is not gonna be a Main Event either, it’s the real thing.
If I’m reading this right, and forgive me my decoder ring is broken, you’re saying UFO won’t do well because Einstein’s went out of business because of a lack of funds? From my understanding, money wasn’t the issue as much as the hassle of running the place and the owner wanting to get out of the Arcade business, he also ran The Backroom, which is also now closed…Unless my information is way off he just wanted to retire. If UFO’s rent is low and the location is reasonably close to campus it should be able to stay afloat.
They need a PC with GGPO, all the roms and two nice arcade sticks though. Seriously. Need.
I just wish I could stay longer for arcade ufo’s opening. I might play over there a few times before I go back to Puerto Rico, but not much else…

Who is MADDK? Is my place Swisha Street Arcade? Anyway…I’m working on getting that monitor repaired or replaced. It sounds like it’s going to cost 200-300 bucks to get it working again. The good news is I bought a super street fighter 2 cabinet that’s is great shape. It has a nice wide control panel. Does anyone know where I can find Super Turbo for CPS2?
