In the immortal words of Gill…“RESURRECTION!”. Sorry I vanished for the last 6 months or so, but I had to work over the summer and then this past semester totally raped my ass. I was at school each day for 19-24 hours and no I’m not exaggerating. I’ve been playing some hardcore Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, SVC Chaos…pretty much everything except for Marvel. But I figured my little vacation is over with. That game is too awesome to stop playing. You all remember my friend Stephen? Well, his little brother who’s a ton better than he is moved up to Austin this past month and he’s interested in some Marvel as well as some Smash Brothers, or SVC Chaos, or anything like that.
This last summer I also got around to finally making myself a new joystick. I’ve got my own soldering stuff now so if anyone needs repairs (or possibly even construction) let me know and I’ll see what I can do.
It was sad seeing Le Fun go, but they never maintained their stuff anyway and let it all fall apart. I’ve been playing at Einstein’s lately and though the controls seem to be ok, everytime I go there they seem to be getting worse and worse. I wish they had more than just that one small machine. You’d think they’d put it in one of the big cabinets. I mean come on, they’re 2 3rd Strike machines that are in the big cabinets. Why can’t they just switch one of them out? Oh well.
Anyway, this is my last semester here and I’m only taking 9 hours (granted one of the classes is design) but I should be relatively free within a few weeks. I’m busy with the GRE right now as well as a test this week, and then there’s always the job search of course. Just let me know what’s going on and I’ll see if I can’t bring Stephen’s little brother Jeremy along to play some as well.
Good to hear from you, yea the sticks aren’t that bad, but the buttons could definetly use some new switches. But Justin told the guy today to order some P360’s, so whenever those come in we should be good. Also I know Justin’s prolly forgot but his stick is still in shambles and could use some repairs Andrew, we just need to get it from the Chenster.
Yea I heard (and saw briefly at the beginning of last semester) of Justin’s broken P360 over at James’. James told me that one of the 5V contacts that powers the 360 went out. I did some reading and it looks like this power is controlled by a chip, which means the chip itself might be fried. If the chip is fried, I don’t know if there’s a lot I can do. I could try to bypass the chip, but if the other ports on the chip control other stuff…well, let’s just say I might be making the situation worse. I didn’t get to take a closer look at it, so I’m not entirely sure that it’s the problem. Again, this is just what I got from James. But if I can get a hold of it, I might be able to do something with it.

Yea Joe we play on Sundays but we still waiting on the sticks to be replaced. The 360’s should be coming in soon, or so the guys says. But we sometimes play at Justin’s place. If you come you should bring sticks, but Einsteins is not too bad. This is Joaquin and just holla at us when u coming
Hey K/I\N i might need some help on my stick I bought awhile back. I bought if for 20bucks but needs a better joystick n convex buttons. I’ll probably hit up austin again later on in this month or in march. If you could help, that’ll be great :tup:
