It was good playing you again Minh, you’ve gotten so much better with your execution, I hate playing against Mag, can’t block him anymore. It was still fun playing though, I miss the competiton in MVC2 over here, we have very good comp in 3S but nobody really plays MVC2.
Larry I wanted to play you, maybe next time. 3s is not very cool. SF2 is the real thing, everything else is just immitations, sequels and bullshit. Next time you come to Austin let me know. I need to hit you with my cable and see how it does.

Questions for our MVC2 regulars at UFO:

Do you prefer MVC2 on American joysticks in the current showcase cabinet or would you prefer Japanese joysticks and buttons on a head-to-head set-up like 3rd Strike?

If you prefer American, would you be able to adjust playing on Japanese controls for MVC2, or would you choose only to play at home?
In an arcade with very limited space, the current setup with the huge Showcase cabinets is very space-inefficient. I especially know it sucks to be crammed in the corner. If we switched to a head-to-head setup, there would not only be more room to sit, but there might even be room to walk around that area against the wall to get to the other side.
This is a decision that would be made sometime within the next month and a half or so. Your feedback is appreciated!
I prefer the American sticks on the current showcase cabinet. We will have to wait and see how everyone else feels but that is how I feel about it.
DUDE move marvel to the right of the DDR machine, it has alot of space there. and move those little shitty games in place of that.

Dallas is have its RARE tourney on the 24th of JAN. Be sure to come and get whooped. Fanatiq is also in the building.
I am cool w/ w/e how marvel is setup, but there could be a chance for marvel to get more players if the japanese presentation setup gets placed. I never tested japanese sticks on marvel though and how well combo execution goes on it, such as magneto infinite which requires alot of super jumps in repetition.
Well Ryan if this can be done, it will be the best. If some how you can do jap cabinet with american sticks that would be good. So for me the main thing is the sticks and not the setup as much, hope that helps

I know I’m a little late on this one but Marvel is supposed to be in a bigass cabinet like the one it’s in. It’s also supposed to have american sticks. Please don’t put it in a head to head cabinet. If you absolutely have to, at least put the american sticks in there too. I liked Toan’s idea about putting it where the Neo Geo games are. BTW props to Groceries for having a good team clockwork.

Haha. Thanks, GOOLEY. I’m starting get the trap down a little better. I still have a lot of things to work on, though–Mag for one. But, I’m starting to pick it up.
I got school next week so I’m up to play this entire week until Monday.
Thanks everyone for chiming in on the MVC2 situation, I do take the feedback very seriously and this will definitely reflect on how our rearrangement planned for next month.
Umm hadn’t checked SRK for a while, but I had to work last Saturday so that was kinda impossible for me. Everyone has been less active around here lately exept like Vu and myself. It’s kinda lame. If any of you guys who come over have a sautering iron I can borrow for a couple days bring it when you come next time. I can’t find mine since I moved.
