Also, just out of curiosity… what difference does it make who runs the tournament?
Is it more legit if I read off names, and tell them to play, over somebody else?
I’ve gone to 524759235432 majors, and had to run CvS2 myself, over the years. It’s not less legit because I had to run it myself, instead of having Fugee, Larry, eric, Phi or whoever run it. Who cares? There is a venue provided, people already there… a place to have a tournament in the game you want. What more do people want? FGC has always been community-driven. Am I wrong? Xanadu is the epitome of “community-driven”. It’s all of us working together. Jason isn’t any more important than anyone else there. I’m not any more important that anyone else there. I don’t get paid for anything I do there.

I could also bring a PS3 but not sure how long I’m going to stay because I have a house warming party that I have to go to in the night time. I also don’t have AE on my PS3, only on 360, so not sure how much that will help. I don’t have MK or MVC3 on it either, so now that I think about it, it may be useless unless other people bring games.
But I do plan on being there at the start.
Fair enough, but then why advertise tournaments for the other games (complete with entry fees) if they are not guaranteed to be held? As the listing is, right now, someone not familiar with Xanadu would think that all the listed tournaments will be held.
I would think that this could confuse would-be first timers who attend, then find out that the game they wanted to play is not being ran.
A simple disclaimer covering this matter would be great.

It’s copy and pasted but also it could serve as a template for people who would want to run a tourney. Tournies not being ran at an event because of time or other issues is not uncommon. If you want to play a game, get people together and come out. I’m sure you can have an “official” make up brackets on tonamento and help in running the tournament. Support your game.

i’d love it to get back to the point where i could run 3S ranking battles, ala old school C3. i don’t see why this wouldn’t be the case when 3SOE comes out again.
