haha ya?ll are funny … first time i go here i see my name and my homeys name blasted on here … but listen though those guys are my brothers on the real … and i put my life on it that none of us took the money …we were always downstairs on the sf4 tip… only time one of us came up was when me and sherwin went to go smoke a cig … but yeah that sucks that somebody took it that night because it really did make the fresh faces like my homies look real bad when all were trying to do is play some street fighter…
but honestly though… that georgia dude you guys speak of is hella suspicious …
check this out … me and sherwin go outside to smoke a cig and on the way out the door we pass by jason who is by where the poker room and where they were playin mvc2 … 1 min later that georgia dude comes out from the front door suspicioiusly asking where jason is and i tell him he just passed him inside and this dude haha walks away like he?s going home …me and sherwin was like wtf i thought he was gone but i seen him inside later…
but yeah talk to that dude mann… on the realz… he making us look bad and thats not good cus me and my homies plan on stickin around…

Everyone who knows you guys knows you are trust worthy and down for the better of the SF4 community don?t worry I?m sure there is no hate towards you, Sherwin or your homies. So I?m sure there is now enough built up evidence to convict this Georgia kid. If I see him again it?s not going to be a friendly interrogation.
Duggish’s equipment is being returned. Gerogia came to me as I was taking him home and said he found his ipod thing on the ground and told me it was prob one of my friends and gave it to me to return. He didnt have any shoes on him and didnt take any money (I searched his stuff even though I know he is a good kid). That is my homegirls son and I brought him to the event and introduced him to Zach the second we walked in.
I know this is a bad situation but man guys, we still gotta be the bigger man here. You cant just go starting threads and accusing people just cause you feel they were looking a little shady. Its just not right, two wrongs don’t make a right. It is very unfortunate and I hope the money and whatever else was taking gets returned. The problem is we have no facts. Its also unfortunate that because of this incident, everyone has to be a little more watchful , a little more aware and cant be so comfortable and free like we were used to. Its gonna take a bit to build that up again but we can if we keep it positive. I can only imagine how disrespected Zach feels right now. I think we all as a community need to be the bigger man, accept that something bad has happened and start moving towards ways to prevent stuff like this happening again.
I read Jalapno’s idea on a sign in log, that might be a little extreme. What I do think would help benefit is if we had maybe 5 key people as kind of the watchful eye every Event. Only Zach and maybe myself will know who these people are and we just take it upon ourselves to just watch over things. Kind of like policing the scene.
I do agree that we should not blow this out of proportion and start singling people out, or mean mugging folks or giving people are hard time cause you feel it MIGHT of been them. We have no facts, we cant accuse anyone…we just have to hope they come fourth and we have to let them know that our security will be in place so this kind of thing NEVER happens again. Bottom line is, we cant let this disrupt our NW Family.

pps - One more suggestion, I really do not see the thief that took the money coming forward. So as a community, I would like to suggest that maybe if everyone donated 5 dollars or so to Phils lady so that she can at least get supported. Cause honestly, over 150 bucks stolen? That shady kat is not going to show his face and if preppys ever does get open again, im sure he will have the gall to show himself again, but i guarantee you at least I myself will be highly aware of what everyone is doing and keeping my eyes open. We do not need this type of vibe in our scene. We have the most united scene in all of the states and ill be DAMNED if some little thieving shit is gonna ruin that.
So to reiterate, how do people feel about donating a little something to help actually both parties. However much the shoes were and the 150. Im willing to help them out, i feel this is prob the best thing we can do right now and most positive.

maybe should have a fund raising tournament among some ppl at like (example) gameclucks or whatever and donated that money can be an ideal…
p.s. if not then, northwest majors is coming up and there can be someone to take donations for it also…

Cole I’m glad you agree on cutting the Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys bullshit… BUT in line with Zach’s thinking, if it has to come down to policing people at your own house dont you think something is fundamentally wrong there? I’ll leave it at that because I don’t want to get into policy for other people’s house parties, it was Zach’s trust and hospitality that got abused here. Nobody else should start that up either, the other thread was closed because he was tired of hearing it.

Do you know what I mean? This is my house. I need not to be concerned that people are going to break or jack stuff. Y’all have no idea how angry I was when I saw Jake waving a gun around in my house. I’m “Chill”. People come into my place, I want them to be that way too.
I understand the good intentions behind these ways of creatively double-ensuring that no rats sneak in, but – I could not be part of something like that in any fashion at my house that I live in, nor have my house need to be under extra security when I am having “friends” over. That’s in quotes because if I don’t need security, it’s friends, if I do need security, it’s people that shouldn’t be at my place in the first place. =\
To be clear, the moment you say “the actions we need to take to solve this…”, you are no longer having a discussion that will be in any way related to things that would happen at my house. Period. Either the people coming over are good peoples, or they aren’t.
Word. If you need rules to hang out with friends, then that completely defeats the purpose of such gatherings. Wack ass SFIV, or any game for that matter is not worth it. I am just trying to kick it with homies I don’t see too often and get my marvel on for a bit. No need to check in with my passport or take a piss test just so people can have tournaments. On the realz, Zach was willing to do what NONE of us were, and that is completely opening his house to all. Once that trust was violated he has the right to do what he wants and does not need to accommodate any of us.

Everyone needs to just stop, there’s no point. The thief/thieves aren’t going to return anything back. Just be happy that you guys were able to enjoy Zach’s hospitality while it lasted. I never had the chance to go to one of these shindigs, but seemed like a lot of fun.
Sounds like we’re already at one of three though, so that’s something.

I think you guys are missing the target here, while yes it’s great to see the community come together to replace what was lost, but there’s one thing that isn’t going to be replaced (if not ever at least for a long while). And that’s zach’s trust to new people. I mean what if this happens again? Are we going to have to replace things again? I mean. I would love to have zach’s back cause like pablo said ha ing a place where I can see ALL of my friends together is pretty awesome. But if we lost this then we lost it, I would hope that really isn’t the case, but you guys need to think if just replacing the stolen items is what zach’s wants or does he want the lost items found?
Also ppl need to back up off sherwin and his ppl. I’m not going to lie, there was a bit of suspicion but deep down I held to my beliefs that he nor his friends did it. And you know what in the end it doesn’t add up to them. Want to talk about it? Hit me up on aim cause I’m not going to flood this thread with another sherlock and holmesesque read a thon.
But let’s hope that in the end the scene still retains our characteristic that outshines the rest our unity cause right now it’s being tested.
Edit - to those that have said the thing about sherwin not posting. Really think about it, there’s people here that set their sites on them shortly after zach’s, and yes while he has been reading the forums do you think that after reading that he was a suspect that he’d really post up? That’s like walking into the lion’s den waiting to be “stoned” by those that thought they were responsible. If I was a new guy there and saw that happened then went to here only to see that people suspected me I wouldn’t want to reply. Even if I stated my innocence do you think those that are hellbound to find me guilty would belive what I would say? Hell to the no! It would turn into an interogation online, and think about the impression we left on those guys and other people that are interested in trying to get into the scene. New people are now hesitant to even try to set foot into the scene because of this “stigmata” that’s been placed onto them when they haven’t evem done shit. Just like the first gen fresh faces and people reffering to them as randoms and shit. In the end it’s just bad from the outside in.
And I can relate to these guys because there was a time that I was accused of stealing when I was innocent (not in this scene). And when my innocence was proven they couldn’t even man up to their mistakes, in the end that friendship was demolished.
I don’t remember drug guy. Probably was just going off what paul told me, since he seemed pretty perturbed at the time. Zach’s decision is unfortunate for us, but if people like this are rolling through and stealing things, I totally get it.
Hopefully this guy gets found and Josh doesn’t get charged with assault or anything.
There is no EVIDENCE, no EYE WTINESS(ES), no FINGERPRINTS. You cannot prosecute someone based on not having seen them before.

Lay off Sherwin and his friends because honestly, I’ve had a few encounters with them at different events, they’ve even came to my house a couple of times and shown nothing aside from being hungry for SF4 and friendly.

What I posted up on SeattleVersus was just my thoughts on just pointing out who was new and wondering if people knew who they were. And yeah, my intentions were probably to blame someone new for what happened and for that I want to apologize to Sherwin, Dale Anthony, CB and Sean Ryan for throwing your names up there and also to Georgia. It was unfair to throw their names in the line of fire, especially with no real reason other than “never seen them before, MUSTBETHEM.” So yeah, I just wanted to apologize for that. :sad:

So after reading all these posts i just want to make everything crystal clear. First and formost, i guarantee that me and my friends had nothing to do with any sort of stealing whatsoever. We have the utmost respect because the fact is that we are being welcomed into someone else?s home on an open invite and wouldn?t dare to disrespect Preppy or anyone in the household at the time. We just came there to make some new friends, exchange some gamertags, and enjoy some real true street fighter 4 competition. also before exiting the house we all went up to preppy, said our farewells, and openly asked him ? would you like to search our personal belongings (aka pocket check) so that we could avoid any sort of accusation and/or controversy. Preppy was cool about everything and we headed home. I was told about Preppy?s through frank and jalapno. i had fun @ jalapno?s hotness and wanted to experience more of this environment. me and my friends enjoy playing such a great game, and please believe, we aren?t the kind of people who would steal other people?s stuff. A lot of people can vouch for us that we were up in the sf4 mix downstairs. Like Dale said, me and my homies plan on sticking around, and i dont want no bad name labeling us for something that we did NOT do. Cause thats some BS. That?s all i have to say.
