I don’t understand it either.
Everyone we know was playing at my place, plus we had more people playing for us out of state.
However, they have been getting points non-stop for over a week now. And I do mean non-stop. We’ve been carefully watching the scores, the way it’s been working is.
During night: 40 - 50k every 15 mins, then a good 400k every 30 mins, plus more.
During day: Just an overall a lot of points, slow down sometime around 10 pm, then around 1 pm is the “During night” points.
My browser auto-refresh goes crazy while everyone sleeps, it’s insane.
Arcade UFO have been playing, we’ve all been donating so much. But we can’t get like 10 people playing 24/7 all the time like they are doing.

I dunno what they’re doing but I think something shady is going on over there. Me and my roommate just donated a combined 360k and I’m gonna do another play or two before the business center closes.

Since the arcade is in cali, i’m pretty sure EVERYONE in cali is backing that arcade up. Their scene is obviously larger than ours and they are very competitive. They have more people than we do we just have to have keep playing.
Boxing Glove
Definitely the best for getting the furthest and scoring the most points. Best strategy is to send out only one boxing glove at a time as a bullet shield and shoot above and below the glove. In the later levels when a wall of bullets are coming at you, send out one glove, then move up slightly and send out another and stay behind both to shield you from the bullets. Do not deplete your stock of gloves or you have to wait for your gauge to refill. Two gloves is enough to shield you from bullets. You should be able to get at least 150K with him easily. 250K+ or more if you try hard and use boxing gloves wisely.
Shield Characters
These characters are the best for watching TV/Youtube and playing at the same time. Just activate shield and ram enemies. Ramming bosses kills them really quickly. However, you will not get far in the later levels because you have no defense against the wall of bullets while your gauge refills. You can get about 100K without really trying hard. But not much more than that.
Banana
Probably the worst character because he has no defense against the wall of bullets in the later rounds. However, you can almost mash out bananas because it uses little gauge. If you try hard you can get 100K.
In the later rounds you get more points for killing enemies. Try to stay alive as long as possible. Don’t worry if you can’t kill everyone. It’s not worth getting hit to kill one or two enemies. And always get the energy crystal.
100k is easy to get with pretty much every character, orangutaur (banana) should get there without much trouble; getting past 120-140k is a lot harder.
As for the shields, might as well play crocataur since he has a smaller hitbox. Other than that you’re mostly just mashing space bar and using shield to survive a bit more; with his small hitbox you can minimize how many bullets you get hit by in situations where you have to take damage.
Marsupataur is by far the best and is pretty much the only one worth playing if you are gonna sit there and play a lot. Enemies are worth the same amount of points but later levels have a lot more enemies; it’s quicker to play one 200k game than it is to play two 100k games.
