I am confused as to why psych0j0sh is currently banned. I believe he got a points-based “temporary” ban which should be a two week timeout. However, those sometime don’t expire correctly so his ban right now be not be intentional.
I’m going to go through my PMs later today: if I don’t see anything indicating why he’s still gone, I’ll reverse it.
If you ever do notice somebody being banned where you think the ban should be expired, feel free to PM me and I’ll look into it.
I’d be surprised if anyone new would sign up here that isn’t an Asian advertisement bot. Don’t think even NeoGAF users would stoop that low. This forum is deader than my aspirations to make something out of myself.
So, he turned down 10 Million dollars plus being able to still run the day to day business and have some say in the direction the site goes in. I don’t even know how to begin approaching how to understand his logic in that decision. *
The numbers over the past long while are consistent, with spikes around game releases and Evo. Sign-ups are also pretty consistent, with Tech Talk being the number one reason people join. The numbers to me are pretty damned high, but then again I’m not footing the bill.
Facebook I think was really the key to largely killing the regional forums, plus or minus the big problems with server uptime. Hopefully we are in a new solid server era, and can make SRK whatever we want it to be.
