At the Eye of The Ragin Storm Part II-Out with VCRs, in with DVD recorders!

The fact Wong is a long time 98 Player gives it an ever better chance.
The game also can be played ST style with success.

I still to figure out a good anti-Kim in Coliseum. Might give up an learn Big for a Haohmaru/Big team. I just don’t like using a character everyone else uses- I feel inferior to others using that character. Does Mars People do well against Kim? He seems interesting from what I’ve seen locally. I can afford to use a meter whore for my 2nd char as my Haoh uses no meter really.

Now, this I like to hear. It makes it sound more and more like EX Geese is going to be based off of his RBS version…maybe he’ll get “Reverse Raging Storm” for the Max version of it? :wgrin:

Overall, sounding nice…except for the fact that Kasumi and Eiji may be stuck with their earlier game stuff. Hopefully, SNK may end up adding stuff to them any way…if not the EX versions doing more to make up for where they lack.

Before long I can see it happening… US vs. Japan in WORLD HEROES PERFECT lol.

"US claims its stance as best in the WORLD IN WORLD HEROES!"

Then I can see someone like Emil saying " Well no you havent played the BEST DAMN RYOFU IN JAPAN YET…I know him personally…hes my friend!"

Arstal- Mars Peep beware vs. Kim…Mars has a long jump…thus making it easier for Kims jump-in C to Ultimate Juggle BS…

Watch out.

Also you dont have to play Kim…look at me and Joey…we dont play him…

Find your own path.

CyberAkuma- Also if EX Geese is based off his RBS version HES ON MY TEAM FIRST TOURNAMENT. :lovin:

Hahahah We can ban Nightmare Geese SECOND TOURNAMENT AFTER I WIN WITH HIM!

   :wgrin:

Also he could be based off his SVC version, which is unique by itself…but then again that version was in KOF2002 in the PS2…

I’d challenge the Japanese to a who’s best come next Evo DG, since the collection will be out soon (Hopefully) and the scene will be greater, plus Keits needs to finish his faq and the rewriting of the tiers, Fuuma should be top tier fo’sho >_>

Next EVO we are gonna have a battle for whos best IN THE USA first…

Keits is gonna have to step up his game now!!

Beware Josh and Keits…***THE #3 PLAYER IN THE COUNTRY ***:lovin:  :wgrin: IS COMING FOR YOU BOTH!!!

Are-you_okay:

Fuuma is the best character in WH2, his infinite is insanity…I am sure Shibuya can elaborate on that…

But yeah I wanna get more Japanese players entering WHP next year…I went around asking and it turned out into-

Denton, Texas (Me) vs. Ohio vs. Green Bay vs. ENGLAND vs. Las Vegas and Emperor Paine!

I’m going to enter WHP and NGBC for sure next Evo. '98 UM if you get it rolling as well, though I need some serious practice with it first.

That’s not even fair DG, everyone knows the best players are Texas bred lol.

Ok so. Im not quite new to KOFXI but I havent seen much around as far as info goes. I remember guardcrush.net but that website turned into arcanaheartsville. So is there anywhere else i can do some research on KOFXI?

Geese has some info on XI archived on the first page. Gamefaqs has a guide if you are just starting out which I found to be pretty good actually.

I dont understand what you mean. im talking about his firebal to ranbuu super. Expain? Sorry just geeting in NGBC.

Geese- i thought it was too but i cant find it. is it in the old thread?

Keits- Awsome! so WHP is the only playable one? That cool ill wait cause i cant find really any infor. Just some old ass rasputin matches. No dragon though :frowning:

Theres PLENTY KOFXI info here. Check out my first page of this thread Chipp, check out my older thread which is in the first post of the first page of THIS thread, the first and second pages on the first thread have all the KOFXI info you need and WHERE TO FIND/do your own research on KOFXI because I have the SRK thread here…plus there is an older thread also.

Ontop of this there are wikis at SRK, Plenty vids galore of different countries and arguably the best being Mago in KOFXI.

Also Luigi is right…gamefaqs.com is a good page to get started but I dont know what level you are at thus its hrd to tell you exactly where to go.

Shin M- Yeah SieClayton is talking about hs fireball to ranbu super yep thats the trick to cancelling it. Yeah check the older thread Shin M…og through the first two pages only because then it stops being archived,

**Are_you_okay- **Damn straight the best come from Texas!

Hey guys… PLEASE PLAY the JAPANESE VERSION of WHP!

It has a COMBO COUNTER!!! Everyone practicing/competing, please move to the JP Version NOW.

Edit: Dragon Info Preview:

(Thanks to FunkDoc)
-----------Dragon-
-Very high/fast jump, great against opponents like Rasputin!
-Can chain cr.LP and cr.LK to nearly anything…including close HP! This is especially important because close HP combos into qcf+HK for beefy damage.
-Low MK -> qcf+LK combos from a distance and is safe. qcf+LK is also a good poke by itself.
-Dashing HP always gives you the close version. With it being 2 hits, you can easily hit-confirm qcf+HK.

Why doesn’t the US version have a counter?

Thats the Dragon stuff I do + more abusing his air fly down move for Tri Jump purposes…Dragon can do damage FAST. Dragon is fast in general, fastest character in the game!

Also Keits since we will have the IMPORT collection, I am sure we wll have no problem playing the Japanese version for tournaments!!!

We dont know why the US version doesn’t havea cuonter…we normally get robbed when it comes to games we get vs the Japanese.

The GG community says otherwise.

Bogus!

i found alot of information regardling alot of characters in the other threads for XI but i cant find much on clark. There isnt anything in the wiki either. Does anyone know anything with clark or can someone point me in the correct direction? Thanks

Just change the dip switch settings on your emulated version to japanese. There is a combo number with japanese text under the life bar. US version doesnt have this for some reason.

Btw, Fuuma is reall bad. Josh and I are thinking he might be 2nd worst in the game right now. Also, we are going to do some testing with Son Gokuu, NeoDio, and Zues to see if they are truely in need of a ban or not.

geese…nec is coming uh oh

The SRK wiki has some good ground stuff to get you started.

I’m sure old-school purists will disagree, but XI Clark is easily his best, most interesting, and well-rounded version ever.

There isn’t a whole bunch new to Clark in this version, just that he’s been streamlined, gained some minor tweaks in priority and properties of his moves that just make him better.

–His Frankensteiner :dp::k: has been MASSIVELY improved upon. It is invincible to mid and low-level attacks and has an extended grab-hitbox so that it can actually hit fairly close crouching opponents (except for maybe the really short ones like Momoko…I’ll have to check…). This is HUGE to Clark’s game now. The Frankensteiner is now crucial to his mix-up game, and even gives him an oki game. You can’t stand next to Clark and try to poke him out of his wake-up anymore. I think it will beat out even all non-instant command throws because Clark is considered airborne for most of the beginning frames of the move.

–His new Gatling Attack super :qcb::qcb::k: is also another huge addition to his game. Its priority is simply excellent…very few air moves will trade or even beat out this move in its opening frames. Its recovery is not even half as bad as it looks…it’s very deceptively safe on block.
Overall the super is useful for anti-air, escaping Gato’s hyperhop lockdown, quickshifting, or getting out of the corner. Again, huge for Clark’s game, which fills in a lot of holes that he’s always had.

I can’t even go back and play Clark in older KOFs anymore, since I’m spoiled by KOF XI Clark. I think that, like a lot of characters that Playmore re-worked (Eiji, Ralf, Maxima, K’) he’s really, really good but not broken at all. Just a lot of smart improvements to make a well-rounded character.
This is why I’m convinced that KOF XI is unquestionably the best KOF of all-time, and is criminally underappreciated. Because so many long-time characters were improved and renewed in so many minor ways that end up making a huge difference.
