Shame we’ll never get to see what Asura does to the Meteor.
The combat sections aren’t long enough to warrant a deeper system. The hardest part for me initially was to stop looking at it like an action game, cuz it’s not one. It’s an Anime with parts that you play.
The fuck up thing is that Capcom actually followed Walking Dead model with the iOS version of Ghost Trick and was successful with it. I don’t understand Capcom some times.

Sell your episodic content online as episodes instead of as one big chunk, then flip the script at the last moment.
The Walking Dead was a episodic game. Every other month a new episode with five episodes total. At $5 a pop it’s easy for people to buy into. Even before The Walking Dead game came out I argued in this thread that Capcom should have sold the episodes in Asura’s Wrath separately and digitally to generate hype. If each episode ends on a cliff hanger it’ll give people something to talk about while they wait for the next one. Also it being at a cheaper price and being pitched as something like a show would have alleviated some of the backlash for AW’s intentionally shallow combat. People would see it as a new way to experience a story and not Capcom’s next DMC and answer to Bayonetta.
And as Hawkingbird mentioned Capcom tried out the same idea with Ghost Trick on the iOS and I guess it worked out. The first chapter was free and each additional one was like $3-5? I never finished the game because I like my iOS titles super cheap but the method of delivery was sound.
Even if Asura’s Wrath episodes ended up being $7-10 a pop to cover all the costs and get any kind of profit I still think people would have given it a shot. Instead the poor game went largely ignored.

I thought it was further divided into episodes and then chapters. Either way you do get the point I’m trying to make.
