as I’ve said before, The game just wasn’t meant for you then. When I played the tailer, I felt the opposite of empty. It was incredibly exciting, and frankly I couldn’t wait to see/play/whatever the rest of the game.
Youtube and that last 3 episode DLC killed it for me. I’ve never returned a unopened game before but that had to be done.
I’d rather play the Sims if I want to pretend that I’m playing an actual video game.
Also I’m not too sure why people compare AW to Dragon’s Lair. That’s a horrible comparison. just stop already. if you beat that game with no mistakes then the game is 10 minutes long everytime. if you took out the cutscenes from AW and only counted the semi-gameplay, it’s like 30+ minutes. maybe even more. at least you don’t die everytime you get touched or make a wrong move. People wanted an action/brawler/platformer. instead, they gave us in-game anime with partial gameplay and limited actions. Crapcom mislead the consumers (like always), just keep it at that. period.
I don’t think they mislead anyone, all the trailers *(Aside from the announcement trailer perhaps) showed exactly what this game was going to be like and everyone (Myself included) assumed it was going to be an action game. The fact that there are dozens of posts in this topic going “Oh I’m worried about all the QTE’s” shows they didn’t mislead people about this game at all.
only 30 min of gameplay on the other hand is a misleading statement Shatta. I’m on episode 10 and I’ve played (Like traditional play) more then 30 min.
He’s not too far off. Every chapter took me no more than 3-4 minutes to play through (except chapter 9, which took just under 10).
who cares, the story is epic
If by “story” you mean “fight scenes” then yeah.
Finished watching the game on youtube and I actually have to go back on some of my earlier statements. It is more of a movie but this is actually worth buying, provided you are into this. I find the Buddhist lore and anime blend very interesting, and I loved the characters more than GoW. I would have preferred a DMC style game but this is CC2 and they are more into presentation than anything else.
In typical CC2 fashion there are some things inspired by Naruto.
[details=Spoiler]
Asura’s super form is straight up Naruto nine tail fox. The music was even similar to the show in that scene, I’m not into Naruto but I’ve watched enough to tell that much.[/details]
Don’t get me wrong, 60 bucks is kind of strong for this experience which will last 5hrs…but how can I argue when it all boils down to personal enjoyment? People will spend thousands of dollars on crummy merchandise via e-bay. Asura’s Wrath isn’t as bad as some of the stuff I see people buy.
EDIT: The 4 episodes for DLC is dumb though.

Ryu/Akuma/E.Ryu look vastly superior than they do in SFIV/SFxT. It’s not even funny. What hell is wrong with SFIV/SFxT’s dev team?
Also I don’t get how people think Asura looks like Akuma. He looks exactly like Evil Ryu. Always has.
yeah…i came
Dude what…? God damn it that looks awesome.
I…I don’t think my body was ready…
Whelp, game will be $30 by then, I’ll be getting it.
Game/interactive anime/whatever you want to call it, Asura’s Wrath is a good product. Shame they had to f it up with the DLC ending nonsense.

meh x 100.
he looks more like evil sean
So the TRUE ending to this game is going to be in DLC…it begins.
Yeah I can see this setting a shitty example. Not a good path to go down.
too bad ME3, in ways, beat them to it.
Crapcom actually did this on purpose before hand.
Man at least Bioware (it IS Bioware, right?) had a *little *decency about it, right?
Right?
