Watched it on YouTube and would still buy this game. Its a modern day dragon’s lair, absolutely fantastic if you ask me, doesn’t matter if the game is short as long as the experience is amazing, I felt hype just watching the game played.
Not every game needs to be 40 hours long to be great.
Real talk, as much as I’m not the biggest fan of the direction capcom fighters have gone as of late, if they put asura in any of them I would pick it up and play it in a heartbeat.
Hell, they should just make an asura’s wrath fighter.
^The Asura’s Wrath Heaven Edition that you had to order from Capcom Unity’s jpn store, it has two books in it along with that box cover which I’ll be uploading pictures from once I get more time. There’s also supposedly some kind of anime on the dvd it comes with and a short comic that I’ll post if people are interested(though I hadn’t gotten any response on that so meh)
Ok so turns out the “comic” was actually several comics for several characters, so I took pictures of Asura’s story and will upload shortly, I also took pictures of the numerous character art pages(which are really nice), though some have spoilers in them so the rest of the post will be spoiler tagged, here’s a teaser
^NP dude, I’ll upload all the pages from the artbooks if you’d rather keep yours closed, I bought mine with the intention of eventually reading the artbooks once I learned enough japanese, and I’m also curious to see if there’s any extras on the actual game disc(there’s lots of writing on the front but I can’t tell for sure as I only understand some of the characters, but I was reading on some game sites that there was a dlc skin for limited edition only)
just be patient with me on the character comics as I’m taking pics on my smart phone and some of them(Asura damn you) have pages done in dark greys so it’s hard to get detail
haha take your time man. you mentioned spoilers and i have yet to beat the game. so i’ll be busy in the meantime. take care. i have the regular 360 and bought the ps3 heaven edition the moment i found out about it. i love this game. theme/story/craziness…etc.
Is anyone really saying that though? With as much praise as games like Vanquish, Ninja Gaiden and Bayonetta get? None of those were much longer than AW, but nobody cares because the games themselves are so good. It’s not the fact that AW is 6 hours long. It’s the fact that 5 of those hours are spent watching cutscenes.
I rented AW. It’s cool enough for what it is and I like all the over-the-top shit going on, but I’m glad I only spent $8. So far I’m flying through the levels in about 3 or 4 minutes. And the gameplay segments are not only over quickly, they feel underdeveloped. Even when compared to games like Dragon’s Lair or Heavy Rain, AW falls short. Those games at least had multiple paths/endings and consequences for fucking up a QTE. AW doesn’t even do that much.
