That doesn’t look right at all. When I played Strider 1 and 2 all the stages were pretty high tech. Even when you ran upside the castle in Strider 2, they had robots and laser cannon defenses coming out of the walls. Plus WTF is up with developers and smoking. It’s been brought up too many times but adding a cig isn’t gonna instantly make someone “experienced” and gritty. Hell, Spike from Cowboy Bebop smokes, but it’s okay with him because he’s so damn casual about it. Not like when DmC guy was trying hard and pressing a cig against a demon’s forehead.
edit: okay, that’s probably not a strider design because the other one had a ninja in it. But it looked like a generic ninja that you kill by the hundreds in Ninja Gaiden.

6.5/10 for gameplay for me for 8/10 for the movie. pretty good movie imo game play kinda bland out. you fight til you fill up your bar then release that shit to win practically almost every stage. i really like how the main char is really salty. Story line is pretty legit i kinda enjoyed it. Some mind fucks and some fucked up shit happens. i felt sad that i didnt get to play as asura when hes pissed as fuck and kill yasha =.
So glad I watched the true ending before waiting to buy the game and see it myself.

When I look at all that artwork (and watch that teaser) and remember Bionic Commando I can only picture this game coming out like Ninja Gaiden. If Strider were to be done in 3D it would honestly be most like Shinobi PS2. Shinobi had almost all the crazy platforming (no ceiling climbing but that’s all that’s missing) and Hotsuma moved around quickly and the focus was on chaining attacks and not fancy combos. Strider would almost be the anti Devil May Cry with a focus on quickly killing everything and getting around the environment fluidly. Humans would die in one slash. Just be gushers of blood everywhere. There would also be an emphasize on in-air combat.
I think that a Strider in 3D has most potential to really give gamers some new thrills in the action genre. I mean shit, I didn’t even bring up the insanity that would be flipping gravity all around.
