School shootings in ghetto schools happen every day. It’s an issue with drugs and gang violence. It’s also usually the murder of 1-3 students.
School shootings at white schools are always suicide missions with no real targets.

The radicalization and consequences that occur in Christian church isn’t as ridiculous or dangerous as the result of Islamic ones. Christian fundementalusm does result in domestic terrorism. But it isn’t as wide spread, nor is it as far reaching as Islamic ones. Tell me, where’s the Christian state causing havoc to the point of destabilization of entire regions to the same degree as Islam. And don’t give me Africa, because radicals there aren’t doing the damage, or are perceived as a threat outside their state.
For somebody that uses the idea of impact, you sure are incapable of applying it evenly.
I think what rockB is trying to say is that everyone is as dangerous as everyone else, statistics per capita be damned, and that every single attack on this planet is random. Pledging allegiance to Isis? Random. Mobilized armies with double digit percentage approval ratings? Random. Hamas and Isis working together now? Random.

It’s a bit sad that the backlash both in here and in America is a lot less than I was actually expecting, at least so far. That “Sikh getting attacked as a Muslim before the year is out” bet is a sucker’s bet, however, since that was basically guaranteed to happen even without something like this.
As for everyone saying that Muslims need to do more, as far as I know, a lot of “snitching” by Muslims is where a lot of the more reliable information already comes from. Sure, there are bound to be some fuck-ups that shouldn’t happen because people shrug things off, but given that this latest incident is shown that such things happen even at the highest levels of government and with all the supposed resources an agency like the NSA supposedly has, that’s unfortunately to be expected.
Of course, given the double-standards that go with not being part of the majority any in place, in this case not being a white heterosexual (nominal) Christian in America, Muslims that are helping probably should do more visibly to help, even if it’s just window-dressing to get all but the most hard-line bigots off their backs. It’s not fair, but nothing in life is.
As it is, it may already be too late for effective damage control now depending on how reaction to this turns out and gets manipulated by politicians, especially since it will inevitably get connected to the whole Syrian thing despite neither of these shooters being Syrian. Syria will be focused on instead of their connection to Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, both of which are well-known funders of terrorism, who we’ll just continue to blithely excuse and ignore because America is “allies” with them.

The thing is, we are being trained to look for shit like this, in ANY culture. Look at the KKK.
