a mass shooting across the world is one thing but a mass shooting on our own turf is quite scary…I hope these guys get stopped asap
Mass shootings are really fucking common in the US. Its an issue that partially guns but not completely guns.

Hmmm, the county group meeting was targeted. Targeting a county group meeting going on in a disabled center in san bernardino of all places. 3 suspects with semi auto rifles dressed to the t in gear. Maybe some type of hit, but political assassinations arent done so sloppy anymore, so maybe this was drug/gang related. There are a lot of white color people affiliated with that world.
I mean, to do something like this is to send a message. Im saying maybe drug/gang/cartel related.
(I wouldn’t be surprised if this wasn’t an ISIS-related incident. It seems unlikely from what little we know at present. I’d even be tempted to just chalk up it to a work place incident if it wasn’t for the supposed body armor.)
On the same token, I do wonder if those more radical anti-government groups that already in the U.S. that people tend to actively ignore even when they know about them will actually get labeled as “terrorists” finally if one of them is behind this or if we’re just going to continue to see that label almost exclusively reserved for brown people of Middle Eastern descent.
Especially with the talk of Hispanic men.
I don’t see the cartel carrying out a hit like that on US soil. That is the type of heat they wouldn’t want. Wouldn’t they just snatch up a target in front of their fams to deliver a message?

Nah, this article was 2 years ago, about gang bangers straight blasting on cops with no fear, and one of the occupants involved in one of the shootings was 14.
We just dont really politicize mass killings by random thugs or gangs, but they happen. Although this one is pretty extreme in recent memory on us soil.
It isn’t ISIS, apparently some experts are saying that ISIS dudes expect to die while these guys ran away.
It would also be a bad time to carry out a hit of this nature. After the recent terrorist attack in Paris the US likely won’t have issues completely shutting them down if it’s perceived as an act of terrorism.

Well that is true. They go into these acts with the expectation of death because upon death their true prize is waiting. ISIS attacks are in it for Martyrdom when they aren’t trying to take over a government and get more real estate. I’m guessing some anti government terrorist group/terrorist group with beef with a specific target at the meeting.
Our style in the US is to just hope it gets better until it gets to the absolute breaking point. Then, maybe, just MAYBE we’ll think about doing something.
I don’t think there’s anything we could do about the gun issue here at this point anyway short of the government going door to door and collecting all the guns people have which will never happen. Besides, that just creates a black market and doesn’t account for all the non-licensed guns that are out there. Plus I’ve heard it said that part of the reason ISIS hasn’t struck here yet is that they know people here are running around strapped so they’d likely have a fight on their hands, unlike in Paris.
If it was latinos, how long until Trump uses it as an excuse to close the border? My bet says by the time I’ve typed this he already has said something stupid.

Who knows what the actual facts here will pan out to be, but if it really is three guys with body armor and an escape plan hitting local gov’t people, that sounds a lot more like organized crime than anything else.
They don’t, they plan on dying in the operation anyway. Charlie Hebdo had armed guards, they were a target by Muslim extremist for years for the types of things they ran in their paper.

I just realized how jaded news like this has made me, when one of my initial reactions was to consider how the skin color of these murderers will determine what kind of public debate we’ll be seeing the next couple of weeks.
