Regarding Islam, I like Majid Nawaz’s approach. Islam has some good parts and bad parts like the other Abrahamic religions, but the other ones went through reformations and discarded stupid verses and become applicable with the modern world. Islam requires a reformation too, and all of the major religious leaders come together and agree on it. The end goal is the followers practice it strictly secularly and only use the book as their personal guide not as the law of their land.

Europe has a illegal worker problem, since from what i’ve heard and read, they have a steady stream of illegals flowing into the country usually. No matter what the original intentions where, lets say that they where just going to be given shelter for a year. These people have no paper’s, so it’s impossible and pointless to have this thorough bureaucratic system to check who they are, simply because there are no traces of them.
I know that the every country has a refugee program. But we are talking about million of people at once. Not millions over the course of a decade, or a few thousand that get a pass on a yearly basis. This is magnitudes larger than those systems are designed to handle.
And low birth rates are the result of the transition from industrial agricultural economy to service. As more of the economy becomes a service economy, this influx will be a detriment to the people living here already. Jobs become saturated, hypercompetitve, and are priced at a low level due to the amount of possible employee’s.

When yo uhave a bulk population this big, and all at once dumped into the work force, a great deal of them wont be given jobs. That’s basic economics.

To ensure that whatever comes through is properly vetted and capable of contributing. And if the people coming through aren’t up to that, they make it harder for people to flow. No country is going to open up it’s borders to allow people with little education or skills to flow at a rate higher than that from a nation that has a much more skilled and educated population
Look at the current situation with Mexico and America. Under the current law, it’s cheaper, faster, and easier for a European or Asian to get citizenship in the US. For Mexicans, it’s much more expensive, difficult, and significantly longer to even get a green card. This is done on purpose, and we don’t’ have to speculate why. The American government clearly values European and Asian work potential much more than Hispanic/Mexican one.

Religious reformation is just a means to an end, and that end is the end of religion. Its no shocker that people had to adapt to the real world over their religion in first world countries (to an extent). Religion holds value, but it is absurd in the sense of how much it controls the majority of this species. Well not absurd i guess, considering billions still live in abject poverty, and billions more dont know any better/dont wanna know any better/ more concerned of eating,sleeping, and getting laid, than questioning their religious beliefs.
