i tried to do this, rip episode 3 on youtube into a mp3 for my mp3 player @ work.
no dice… it won’t complete the rip.

Hmm, could you describe in more detail what happened? You were trying to download the video with YouTube Downloader and the download just froze at some point? I’ve never downloaded anything quite that long, but I’ve downloaded hour+ long videos before. I’m sure there is a smoother method than downloading the entire video to one’s hard drive, but it has worked well for me so I will try to help if I can.
i use

basically i copy and paste the video’s url into this site and it basically converts and rips the file for you.
i do this for all the music i get from youtube.
but for episode 3, when i try to convert and rip the mp3 file.
it stalls @ around 12 or 13% forever and then keeps resetting back to 0% to 12%.
