art, i sent u a PM and email, can you get back at me, thanks
Yo Art I sent an order. Let me know if you received payment.

Let me explain something to you very quickly - screw in buttons work like this. You place the button in a hole, and affix the button to the panel with a nut on the other side. You don’t literally SCREW the buttons RIGHT IN the panel as I thought o_o… you just drop em in and secure them from the other side with the supplied nut. Hope that clears that up for you - I was going crazy because I never really knew how they worked until I bought one myself. It’s really simple, trust me!
A. You don’t need to do much. The snap ins have these little nubs that make it hard to put in ANY panel, really - they’re to ensure the button doesn’t turn within the panel and disconnect the quick disconnects. If you’re using the buttons that were already in your TE, the nubs probably would’ve been quite filed down when you took the buttons out :D. The most you’d have to do if you’re using snap ins is file down those nubs. I bought a plexi from Art and I kind of just… shoved the buttons in there. They’re just fine haha. Now, if you’re using the screw ins, you’d have to file down just ONE of the nuts. The mounting plate gets in the way of the LK hole (ie, far bottom left).
B. Easy for the snap ins, can’t vouch for the screw ins (but I imagine it’d be much easier because you only have to file down ONE nut). If you’re talking about the cost of fitting the buttons in the plexi after you’ve bought the plexi and buttons… no additional cost. Just some elbow grease either way.
Art - I’ve already emailed you with details and deadline stuff so I will drop it here as to not clutter your thread and just wait for a response there. Thanks!
art can you give me a sample picture of a TE with a regular size temp art and covered by an extended plexi cover
and i downloaded the TE template sample, is it already set to print ? just put an image then fit the image then print?

I notice that a majority of the people who have a TE stick use the Art’s Hobbies Full panel covers than the regular or extended cover.
When you put your arms down to use the stick, do the sharp corners of the plexiglass ever bother you (playing on lap or table, please specify)?
For those who own a regular TE plexi cover, is the plexiglass taller than the red bezel, making the corners pop out?
I was just wondering how the plexiglass feels like. When I touch my TE’s original artwork, its real nice, smooth, and easy to clean. Is the plexiglass like that, or does it feel like normal glass, which could get bothersome when your hands get sweaty?
In some pictures, it seems like there is no plexiglass. Is there actually no plexiglass on those, or have my eyes gone bad? The reason I’m asking is because I know most of you guys go to Kinkos and get a print out of your artwork, but I don’t know how strong that paper is, or if you guys get it laminated or something? I’d love to know if a plexiglass is absolutley necessary if you want to preserve your art printouts.

i do not feel or notice the sharpness of the plexi - playing on lap. plexi feels very smooth and easy to clean, better than the original art. i would highly recommend art’s work. as for the no plexi, i think the art is printed on certain material, lamented maybe.
Does anyone know offhand if skipping the center screwholes on the TE has any adverse effects? It doesn’t seem like it would but I’d like to know for sure.

I not find one like you asked.
But you can look at this to see something.
http://forums.shoryuken.com/showpost.php?p=6760283&postcount=507
It is Regular Art with Regular Custom Acrylic Panel without Bezel.
Just imagine that the Custom Acrylic Panel is Extended.
Or maybe even this one.
http://forums.shoryuken.com/showpost.php?p=7279692&postcount=1364
It is Extended Art printed on Full Art Template with Full Custom Acrylic Panel.
I only show that one because on the Extended Art, the Outline for Regular Art is shown.
So you can use that to imagine that the extended part of the art is like an Extended Custom Acrylic Panel.
The edges and corners are smooth out by flame polish.
So the acrylic is not raw cut.
Here is reference for seeing how much high the Custom Acrylic Panel is over Red Bezel.

I’ve only seen like two people who not use a Custom Acrylic Panel.
The art was laminated.
There was this:
Other people have left out the top and bottom middle screws too.
I forgot how things were for them.

Got a question, are people removing the original artwork on their TE’s before applying their own? I’d really like to keep the original artwork the way it is and just lay the custom art over it. Would this cause the Plexi to stick up obnoxiously?

Nothing happens if you remove the stock art.
It is a flexible plastic thing held onto Metal Panel by weak adhesive on the corners.
Thanks for putting Ireland on the shipping list, Art. Just made my order.

Has anyone left it on? I remember taking my HRAP art off and that shit was sticky as hell. Would really like to be able to go back to the stock look if I ever have to sell it which is why I ask.

yay i think mine should be in today
no cause it adds more thickness plus the art then the plexi you’re just itchin for that plexi to snap if you do that. Cause with the added thickness it’s going to be hard to put back the snap-ins and when you force it crackkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkKKK!!! to easily remove the adhesive residue use goo b gone or rubbing alcohols. Aftershave works too lol. The original art is not paper, but as jdm said it’s plastic. I want to see someone leave the stock art on there, add their art and then add the plexi and then the buttons. Let’s see if we can get some happy results. if not then what i sed is true. It does add thickness. Just buy some double sided tape. Cause that’s all that is if you want to resell the artwork. just don’t use that plastic as a guide to do your cutting, because most likely you’re going to cut into and scratch it.
I didn’t know people took out their stock art. I put my art, plexi, and buttons on top of the stock art with no problems. You’re talking about the TE, right?

Good to know, I took his answer with a grain of salt seeing as how he types like he just got back from 4chan or something :P.
Anyways, just received my artwork and plexi 10min ago. Thanks man! Top quality shit and was extremely well packaged. Very satisfied and will buy again for my HRAP’s.

I had an answer for you.
But I forgot to paste it into my Post.
Laugh.
Yes, people remove stock art on Tournament Edition.
Pasky and SilentRage03 talking about it too.
There is no Custom Acrylic Panel for Mad Catz Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick?.
Just right now is available for Mad Catz Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick? Tournament Edition.
Would you take a picture of yours?
I want to see how this thickness looks.
I’m not going to steal anything.
This just for my own archival purposes.
It helps me answer questions when people ask.
Were your Snap-in Buttons able to super fully secure on like if it was on a metal 2mm panel?
I’ve had experience where the Buttons do not fully snap, but they do hold because of the tightness.
Think of something like this if Panel and all are too thick.
The Button stays, but the Snap Tab does not snap.

Just called to check up on Kinkos and they told me they got their fuser replaced which has rectified the problem with recent roller streaks being visible. So I’m gonna load a stack of artwork printouts today and tomorrow to get those out asap. For those waiting on a specific deadline, (Azorid and Kurio) I’m hoping to get your guys’ stuff out in time. Kurio, you mentioned you emailed me. I may need a refresher as my email is completely cluttered and I don’t recall catching your email off the top of my head, nor do I see it from a quick glance. Email me again when you have a chance. Thanks.
Any guess as to when the Custom Dustwashers will be available again? Can’t find any info regarding this either here or the site.
I’m holding off from ordering since my stick would feel incomplete without it and I can’t really afford paying shipping from the states twice.
But your stuff looks great and I can hardly wait to order.
Likely next week some time. I have the results of the Overlaminate but there are some pros and cons which I will mention when the that section is back up. More pros than cons tho, imo, as it’ll withstand a lot more wear and tear.

Digital:
Thanks for the refund Art, I will definitely be waiting patiently for your upgraded dustwasher
By then I’ll be putting in another order for another artwork print and if that deal for the bottom plexi + artwork is still available I’ll definitely chalk one up for that package as well. Already designed my artwork for the bottom, just waiting for the new dustwasher and a few sales on ebay to clear.
Thanks again Art, your work is uncanny.
I’ll likely leave the deal going for another week or two. If it’s down by the time you order again, shoot me an email and remind me you wanted it. I’ll save a slot for you since you were interested ahead of time =).
Forgive me if I’m a nub on that stick, but does SFAC = SFAE? Cuz someone is sending me a SFAE (15th anniversary stick) plexi to work on, so if that’s the same thing I’m likely to have that plexi up in the near future.

Ehh, if you really need a picture of that it’ll be some time. I have a ton to do for the rest of this week and won’t have time to bust open my stick for that right now.
And the TE Template sample is ready to print. Print on Tabloid size cardstock and do not “stretch to fit”.
Hot damn jdm714, you’re like an SRK Encyclopedia. Seriously, with all your info floating around the forums. You should be a Mod!
a big thank you to arthong for printing and etching!
looks hot!
