Guys, I think he’s really really busy with stuff as it is, and if he has to check order statuses every time someone asks, he would ALWAYS be swamped. Unless there’s something wrong with your order, I would suggest not contacting him. I know it’s really hard to wait, especially when you’re so used to getting a tracking number the same day when buying online - but try to be patient. Think of it this way - the more time he spends confirming people’s orders when he doesn’t need to, the less time he has to take care of actual business (cutting art/plexi, shipping them out). He has estimates on his site for ship times, so just use those.

Again, if you’re just curious about your order status, please refrain from contacting him. I’m sure he doesn’t mind, but why give him an unnecessary burden?

hey art! I noticed that the website is back and offers the TE bottom panel? Think there will be an option to do a full etching service on the bottom as well?

If you don’t like waiting and you’re placing another order soon, I’d recommend Ponyboy. You can find him right here on SRK in the trade forums. His prices are decent, and he ships fast. If you want it fast, I recommend him over Lizard Llick + Modchipman right now because he works fast fast fast. But I give LL my business when I can because I like their customer service :slight_smile:

I got it!

I finally got my items today! It looks beautiful! My only disappointment was the dust washer. It seems like it was rushed. The clear coat did not dry very well.

See the ripples. When the dust washer was inserted into the plastic pouch the clear coat became uneven. :xeye: (Is there anyway to fix this?)

Other than that Art did a fantastic job. I’d be sure to use his service again. :smile:

Still involved in a lot of meetings at work so contact time is at a minimal. Damn behind on emails as usual… argh.

One thing I’m going to consider doing is I need to up the shipping cost for just the artwork orders alone. Even though I package them with TWO stiff cardboard inserts, there have been several cases of the post office ignoring my “Fragile do not bend” markings and have caused creases to the artwork. Then comes the expense of reprinting and reshipping artwork so I’m just going to up the shipping price to priority so I can send them out via priority mail boxes. Sorry about that, but not much of a choice =(.

I’m not 100% sure, but I’m suppose to be getting an LS-32 dustwasher within a day or two. so hopefully I can add that to the dustwasher options soon.

While I would like to, I can’t give the time frame for it. It’s a matter of setup time per etch. I won’t get into too much details, but believe me when I say custom etching can end up taking quite a bit of time. It’s just not something I can allocate time for at the moment while trying to get tons of orders out and working on my primary job =(. So I really would like to offer that, but it won’t be for a bit of time. Thanks again!

Unfortunately it still remains on the back burner. There’s a lot of TE/HRAP stuff to concentrate on that keeps me occupied already, and trying to set time to strip heat the bend on the SE plexi adds up. So even if you guys were to make a mod that works, I can’t see myself allocating the time to bend the SE’s. It’s not something I can concentrate on right now, sorry =(.

Thanks Shiryu. I’ll add that for those who are curious about their shipment, please double check your Paypal transaction first before emailing me. Paypal should email you when a shipping label was created. For some reason maybe it hasn’t been getting through or Paypal emails get in your junk folders as I’ve been getting inquiries from people with orders that were already shipped. But please check paypal first before asking me. It takes at least 5 minutes to search and respond per inquiry, so it adds up.

If it’s been way more than 12 days and your Paypal transaction hasn’t updated with shipping info, then email me with your order number.

Not now, but possibly in the future. As it stands now I have my hands completely full on front cover etchings.

Hmmm, that is strange. Rest assured that custom washers are not rushed. I take a full 2 days to work on them. 1 day for the initial coats, then let completely dry. Then 2nd day I add several more coats and let completely dry before I ship out after that.

Your situation is truly a mystery and the first I’ve heard. I’m wondering if there was any major heating issues during the shipping process. How was the packaging when it arrived to you? Were there any dents on the side? Another possibility is pressure being applied and scraped against it, since the dustwashers are taped on the outside of the cardboard inserts.

Either case, I’ll start working on a new one for you.
