For those with the plexi already, I just wanted to ask.
Is the protrusion at all bothersome? Is it noticeable while playing? I can get irritated if I play on a surface i’m uncomfortable with, so it’s important for me to ask.
Another question is do the buttons completely snap in? I think I remember you saying they didnt, but wanted to double check.
Got mine today. I got both a TE and HRAP3 1/16th. Have to say I’m supremely happy. I’ll post pics when I get the TE done too.
gl0ry: the protrusion is barely noticable. The plexi is very thin and really unless you’re running your fingers along the edge you probably wouldn’t notice. The buttons will snap, but not all the way. It will fit snug though and again, you won’t notice any difference.
Did you use my vewlix template for this? It looks a lot like mine only with a taito logo added. Just curious really. I’m still unsure if I’ll go vewlix with my TE but yours came out nice.
It’s possible. I found a Vewlix template on here and made some adjustments, got rid of all of the borders, added the taito logo, altered altered the colors, changed the grey borders of the buttons and the grey circle on the joystick and a few other things. I didn’t like how people were trying to replicate the “mirrored” spots on the vewlix panel by printing grey. it just doesn’t look right to me. But yes, it’s possible it was your original template

I do not notice the protrusion one bit. I use snap ins, and you can hear a distinct snap as they go in place, and do not move one bit.

I helped him Print at Kinkos and Laser cut the art as well =)

Hey Arthong… how does the laser cutter cut the holes out of the art? does it destroy the insides of the hole or does it save it and just cut out a perfect hole?? just wondering if i got art printed and cut from you if id be able to save the insides just in case i wanted to use them for the insides of buttons…
I’m not a customer(yet) but it shows on his site that it cuts out perfect circles for clear-top buttons if you plan on it.

after putting everything together my artwork didn’t line up right. so i popped out the buttons, fixed the art, then reseated the buttons. while reinstalling the last button i got a minor crack. i’ll have to have arthong cut my art next time so everything lines up perfect the first time.
Is it that fragile? Or did you put too much force? changing buttons doesnt mean broken plexi right ? =) haha

Hey bud, the Mayflash stick will probably fall under custom plexi’s when I open that section up. Unfortunately, I’ve been so swamped I have no idea when I can open that section up =(.

It “shouldn’t” be. The ones I have on my HRAP and TE have been on and off countless times particularly when I run random cover testings. First crack I’ve heard of =O.
