Sweet stick man looking good. SPARKING :wgrin:

damn, did you not sand down the tabs on the sanwas?

Lol, that’s my stick! Yeah, I really like the way that turned out. Props to Some_Asian for designing that one for me.

Man art…those pics you have don’t do the pearl justice. Only prob now is ,y buttons arent the right shade of blue…sigh. My mirror plexi is hawtness to mayne tup

I’m at work now, so I can type better than on the ipad…
I got my stuff yesterday - ordered full length mirror for TE and replacement panel - pearl for a TE. I want to take pictures, but I’m not done with either (the mirror one I just need ot check the wiring for the joystick, can never remember which is the right way to plug it in). I have ot say, the pearl replacement is extremly nice, it wasn’t what I thought it would look lik, but I like it better. I had some issues with the washers that came with it, namely they were clear acrylic, so when I dropped them thanks to my silly cats…I had a VERY hard time finding them heh, but all in all it looks awesome. The only problem now is the buttons that I planned to use don’t match the shade of blue I need to match the seude, but thats my problem. Just wanted to tsay the products seem great and give a

Can anybody help me out with how I would go about mounting a stick in a panel replacement with a t5? I’m not sure how to go about it since it doesn’t have a mount on the existing panel

you need a mount http://www.tek-innovations.com/arthobbies/index.cfm?loc=products&cat=11&subcat=&item=117
then do this http://www.tek-innovations.com/arthobbies/index.cfm?loc=about&sub=reppanel#prp4

Oh if i’m buying a new jlf though it doesn’t even matter correct?

If you not use the Acrylic Mounting Plate, then you use the stock Sanwa JLF-P-1.
Use with the Spacers and Screws and Nuts that arthong provides with the Replacement Panel.

Ok thanks guys I get it now

I didn’t sand down any of the tabs :frowning:

Luckily I got artwork from the Template thread printed out/laminated at Kinkos recently, so I’ll probably go with that.

i know your pain…i recently dropped my stick and cracked the bottom plexi. thankfully the top is fine. yeah i noticed last time he didnt put a card in with the plexi it tells you to sand down the tabs. my friend did the same thing.

Question for everyone who has used one of Art’s plexis for a mod: does the edge of the plexi, slightly above the bezel, ever rub against your hands or irritate them during game-play? I was going to rip off the stock art soon and replace it with a plexi/custom artwork combo…Thx.

it does stick up, but it doesnt rub against your hands or anything. If you get the full panel does at first but after a while you dont notice.

you shouldn’t have any problems with the edge. if you do a nail file will do the trick. just be gentle and you will do fine.

Thanks a bunch guys, no one would answer this question anywhere else on the net.

Sanding all 4 tabs on a button right off wont make it spin at all once its in place?

with the plexi and the art they wont spin. when you sand it down with the stock art they will but wont be a problem

So playing catch-up on this sanding - I’ve used nothing but buttons with nuts, however the buttons I just ordered are snap-ins (ugh). I have a panel ā€˜replacement’ - what exactly do I need to do to get them in there without damaging the plexi? If I’m sanding, does anyone have a picture of how much to sand and where to sand? I’ll traverse the thread again later, but 67 pages is ALOT…

there’s these 4 little tabs right below the rim of the button on the button body. sand down those 4 tabs and you are good. i take a xacto knife and shave it down because its fast…buuuuuut probably not safer
